Yes, you are. And, if I was you, I'd go into some Prozac-indused diatribe about something that has nothing to do with my post, or what was meant by it.

But, I'm not you. :)

Just curious as my memory isn't what it used to be?

Can anybody remember how many of the IPT selected members complained about the way KT hand picked his 150? I mean here was a guy who came up with the cash, picked his own players and his mates and created "world" and "national" championships!

Can somebody provide to links of posts where Grady and JAM expressed these sentiments? If they despise invited (WPA sanctioned events btw) now surely they hated none sanctioned events even more, no?

I know they got invited to those events but surely their principles would be the same, they didn't sell out did they?

There is a BIG difference, don't you see it, you dumb brit ;)

You are offended when people use terms regarding race, so much so that you fly into a rage. It's okay for you to express your opinion about THAT, but I can't express my opinion about THIS? You can't have it both ways.

JAM
No I am offended when people are being racist. I am offended when people are being sexist. I am offended by people who are being xenophobic. You can hate OJ all you want but once you start using the N word I will be all in your face. You have the right to express your opinion any way you want but it is the quality of your refrain that I will challenge.

You won't hurt my feelings. It is no secret that we don't see eye to eye on many topics. You seem to have taken personal offense to the parable, which was not my intention. I do believe however, the description in the parable is quite accurate of the players that moan and complain while they do nothing to advance the game in a positive direction. There are people that work hard to do that. Grady Mathews is one of those people. So is Charlie Williams. So is Randy Goldwater. All of them have my respect. However, the arguing and fingerpointing and everything else is not part of the solution.

In the past month I have been all over the place going to pool halls and attending different events. I'm talking to players and I am talking to TD's, and I am talking to room owners and I am talking to fans. I am asking them what needs to be changed. I ask them what they like. I ask them what they would love to have. Ask around, plenty of people have seen me in a lot of different places. This weekend will be no different. The weekend after that I'll be somewhere else doing the same exact thing. All I ask is that others do the same thing if it is at all possible. Gather this information, put some positive energy behind it and let's work together to build the game up. All of this other nonsense is tearing it down.

Friedman's "The World Is Flat."

That is so funny...perhaps you might want to think about the opinions of a well read, college educated, Political Science teacher. Perhaps you should step out into reality and do a bit of reading yourself...I suggest, as your first read, Friedmans "The World is Flat." That would be a hell of a start for you...

Was Friedman's "The World is Flat" where you got your info that I was never a good bank pool player -- and you added, "...with no disrespect intended?" I have to now question your objectivity in any matter, professor or no. You claimed that info came from a good source -- was it Friedman's? Does he know about pool too? I have since talked to the bank players from Louisville -- the ones that can play -- Truman Hogue, Gerald, Louie, etc., they dont even know who you are. Were you just picking on me because you heard I am sexually attracted to Ann Coulter?

Maybe you're a little late in the thread. I stated it previously, and I will state it agian. I NEVER MENTION KEITH'S NAME in reference to your piece.

This is hilarious. A professional pool player is being cussed out by another players' lapdog/caddy, because of his attitude in regards to professional pool.

Let's see. BlackJack has been at this for 20+ years? How long have you been Keith's mascot for?

i spent about 5 of the last 12 months out of america, i can live where i want when i want for the most part sometimes i have to be here, and i like america, its ok now and then. my businesses are here and since i know the rules here, i'm not going to start a business elsewhere when i'm in good action here-that dosent make sence right now. i pay my taxes here-more each year than most peope earn in a life time so i pay my dues but there are better places for certain things and of cours there are worse places too, but to say america is the greatest place ever is too narrow for me.

This is a very egocentric view. Not too surprising from someone who likes to flaunt their bankroll and possessions. Could a little patriotism be too much to ask?

Shawn that was uncalled for. Lets not let personal relationships enter into this. I dont know who you live with and I dont want to know. And I wont judge you by it.

I tried to give you reps for this, but I have to spread some around first. This is EXACTLY right. Blackjack has fought through the trenches of the pool world, as Keith has, so what he knows about pool is knowledge that he has "learned" or "earned" not knowledge that he was told. There is a huge difference. JMO.

oh im 100% sure it would be "retarded" to you! im also 100% sure that a 5 star combat general like you can read! seeing life outside of the usa and talking about how much money you make in the usa and then having a negative remark about the same country where you made this money is another story all together.i will not argue with you though because obviously you know as much about the matters of the world as you do about pool.

And her response to BlackJack's post was called for? Are you kidding me? If I start dating Maria Sharipova tomorrow (please, please, please), does that mean that I get to have a valued opinion on the state of women's tennis in a few years?

This is total hogwash JAM. There is a law for patents on drugs in Canada, they have protection for 8.5 years (I believe) before the generics are allowed in. I think that the US number is 20 years, so the generics hit the market much sooner in Canada, but not "as soon as they're out" as you posted.

Also, you seem to imply that Canada 'copies them and sells them for cheap', which is misleading at best. Our regulator, Health Canada, APPROVES drugs for sale in Canada, and appove the generics as per the applications/reviews once the patents expire. The company that copies the drug may be a US company, or Canadian, or Swiss, or from another country, and that company (like I said, it could be a US company) benefits from selling the generic drug.

It is also interestign to note that many US citizens are taking advantage of our drug laws, Canadian Internet based pharmacies were all the rage a while back, and most of their customers were from the US.

If you are going to attack Canada please get your fact straight first. Having said that, I know that my numbers may not be exactly correct but the main idea you posted is still not even close to being correct.

ALL RIGHT, KIDDIES!! IF YOU CAN'T PLAY NICE, GET OUT OF THE POOL!!!!!

I will get out, but I've already peed on everyone in the pool!

Shawn come on. She's already said she ran a pool tournament. And from her posts any one with some intelligence can deduce she has some experience in the pool community other than "lapdog". You dont need to bring it down to that level After all we dont know your credentials. You don't know mine. Although I did run 8 and out a couple of times. LOL! But we are trying to come to some consensus here.
I mean I really admire and respect what Grady has done as well as JAM. I just dont agree with how they are handling it.
