Beautiful Dixie will always be the region of the country where action seems to be more plentiful and welcome.
From reading this forum, Texas in recent times has been an attraction, ever since that new pool room opened up, Diamond Billiards.

$$$-$$$$ sets happen there all the time. Road players come through there all the time. Recently there has been action with Chohan, Chavez, Harriman, and the top locals. The locals bet it up among themselves alot as well. 4 figure action happens alot with both players being unable to run 2 racks.
For those looking to get played, this room is THE room to go to in South Florida.

Paducah, Ky: Side Pockets Billiards. Quality shortstop level players. Also, Im sure that Buddy H. would love to match up with ya at any game. You can get played here playing banks or one pocket primarily. Good action here. This has been my home room for my whole life.
Louisville, Ky: Oliver's Billiards on Dupont Circle is my new home room effective next week. Good one pocket games here as well. You can get played. I'll be more than happy to play if the game is right
Of course, you can match up at Louisville Billiard Club, Bank Shots, or Rack 66 for anything you want. Im sure that Truman or Brumbeck would love to play some banks with ya.

There is no action here in the central/eastern part of the Bluegrass state. Seems as though all the good players are over 40 and the drugs have caught up with them and that is now their #1 priority. No young un's taking up the game. We are a dying breed around here.

Seems like there is some action at Quenten Corner Pocket in Palatine at least once a month. Decent scores to be made. Road players know who to ask for and know they have to give up something to get the $. Other than that, I've heard of very little in Chicago lately.

Action at the Q Club regularly. A 2,000 dollar set was played their last week. Usually can get 100 a game one pocket action on a daily bases with the guy that owns the room or some of the locals. Road players need to stop and check it out.
