Best Break Cue

Jensen (Michael Johnson) J/B cue. Made with Bacote and a Liptis wood Shaft. Crushs the rack and easy to jump. Also, quite rare (he doesn't build many of them) and a nice compliment to my Jensen playing cue. Check my sig below if you want to see pics!

schrager

Hello, interested what everyone is using as a break cue...had a gilbert, was a much better player than a breaker, had a MIke Stacey JB I really liked but sold that...what is everyone using right now.

James Spach of Hurricane custom cues makes a good break jump cue. I hear good of Varney Jump Breaks. I'm currently breaking with a custom Wayne Robinson cue. Great break cue.

I've got a Bunjee J/B that's not too bad. Check out the picture because it's unusual to see wood like this in a Bunjee J/B.

Varney

I'm using a Varney right now as well. It hits like a moster. There have been a few reviews on this forum so you can get more info from them. Kevin's great to deal with and makes a very high quality cue. You can't go wrong. Shoot him a PM Varney Cues;) :)

I'm using a Kaiser J/B I got off ebay for 60$.

I feel real outclassed right now!

I'm using an all laminated maple jacoby jump break with double titanium radial pin joints. It gets the job done very well.

jump break cue

use a PauL Mottey'92 jump break sneaky pete Stainless steel joint point's made out of purple hart breaks like a tank!!!! playing cue Paul Mottey'95 sneaky pete cocbolo joint and cocobolo points 4 point butter fly inlay at the bottem of the butt 95 plays Sooooooooooo sweet!!!!!!!

Well since my case only holds one cue, I prefer a Wallabushka. Best break cue for the money. You can't beat free. :D

I look at it a couple of different ways:

9 ball: Pred BK II followed closely by my Mace j/b

8 ball: Mace is better for the controlled break, 2nd ball etc.

I happen to have a Rick Howard Mace break jump with a phenolic ferrule tip combo if anyone is interested. Send me a PM. Cue is now sold...

Thanks,
Josh Hillard

The best break cue I have ever used was a Petree J/B, which I will get one some day......

I am currently using an old Sledgehammer with an unknown shaft. I love the way this one breaks them as well, and will not be getting rid of it. I am actually think of sending it to Petree and having him work a little magic on the shaft in the interim... :)

I was using a falcon jb but recently switched to the j&j jb and like it alot. It breaks alot better than the falcon.

I am using a new design by Pat Diveney... It breaks very well and jumps so well I have had to re-learn how much effort it takes for what distance... Highly recommended jump break
