Best in your area...

Yeah he does do that neck at an angle thing huh. Glenn plays very strong, however; I would be hard-pressed to put my money in on Glenn against guys like Jessie Allred, Stan Tourangeau, Mike Z, Dan Louie, Mike Vidas, Todd Marsh, Eddie Mataya or a few others. He is by all means no dominating favorite in this area (Pac NW).

I have considered playing him with the breaks and the seven. He said I could have that all day.

I'll see him tonight probably.

Friendly piece of advice.. Do NOT let him play you 8 ball on a barbox for anything major. I used to run over the City Lights weekly barbox tournaments, (All "Short Bus Russ" - C player jokes aside..) and occasionally he'd be in town.. He was hard to deal with.. One mistake, and he would run the race out.

If I had to bet my money or die, I'd much rather play Mike Z. or J.D. 8 ball on a barbox than Glenn.. Funny thing about Glenn.. I always thought he had the tools to do better in the big table tournaments than he does.. It just seems Dan and Mike Z. win the more important tournaments at will.

In Sac-Town it would probably be ....

Damian Overton ... Young Gun with a lot of game and making quite a name for himself in the Sacramento Area ...

Does Amar still play?? How about Joey Gebron?

Damian who? JK, but...

I'll take Billy Palmer or Tony Chohan over anyone else in Northern California. My friend Lance wins as much as anyone else around here other than those two, and has beaten both Billy and Tony a number of times in tourneys.

Billy has been winning EVERYTHING he enters lately though. The Swanson tourney in San Diego, a big tourney in Az, and another one I can't remember at the moment.

Its amazing how many champions are out there that you have never heard of. Sacramento is a big town too, with a great pool room..this guy must have real game.

Amar has been kicked out of Hardtimes AGAIN so last I heard he is not playing, Joey still plays

In dallas, i can't decide between Joey Barnes & Billy Incardona. Probably Joey.

As far as female player....i don't have a clue.

Billy hasn't been around much, I think he hasn't been playing lately. Tony has pretty much moved, but will be here next week for the Jamboree.

Damian is a young fellow from England that is here because his girlfriend goes to school at U C Davis. I believe he qualified originally for the IPT, I may be wrong. He has won virtually every tournament, if not he came in second. Place 4th last year in the Jamboree which included a handful of the Pinoys including Kiamco, Galle and D. O., and Palmer, Chohan and a host of others. I know because I bought him in the Calcutta. He's a real sleeper. BUT, I haven't seen him play anyone for cash. He says he likes to play on his own money and can't afford it right now. WTF! He is actually a really nice guy.

Right now, Damian and Robert Aldana are the best 9 ballers around.

BTW, Lance has been in the big tounaments also. And recently it looked like his game has been a little off. He has a sweet game when he is right.

I played Glenn tonight at the Cadillac Island in Longview. I missed a STRAIGHT IN 8 ball in the first game. I also hooked myself on the 8 in another game, but still took him to the hill. 3-2.

Not a long race by all means, and he isn't well as he should be health wise, but neither of us played well.

I did beat my good friend Jessie Allred though. He is tough.

Pat Schumacher is another good shooter around here. He recently took 2nd in seniors in Vegas for the BCA. He didn't like losing to me on monday night I tell ya.;)

I havn't seen any real good players around here?!...... oh shut up!, I'm kiddin.

I guess you'd have to pick a game then the best player, or an over all pick maybe?

BUT, if my favorite surfboard was on the line I would pick Allen Hopkins for an over all killer. I know He's in Jersey, but thats only about an hour from me here in S.E. PA

not to nit pick. but didn't Robb move to Miami, and Rodney moved to Texas, but left off your list, isn't Corey Deuel house pro at Hammerheads in Holiday?

Thanx for the update. I have not caught up. I did not get to go the Strokers or Capones, so I am behind the 8 Ball.:o

Ben Z has been hot lately, Szuter plays good for the cash too. Dave Meyers is an excellent player but doesn't gamble very much. I just moved back to the Akron/Canton area so I'm not dialed into the seen 100%

9-ball - Chen is favored over Joey (at least, that's what Joey told me)...
1-pocket - They still save David G. would rule supreme! :p

Female player... Leslie Rogers?

APA leagues I would guess. I am not much of a league player. For tournaments you have Sharpshooters on Thurs nights and Hollywood Billiards on Tues. Hollywood draws the best players and consistently gets 32+. Peg's is ok but not alot of players hang out there, although Joe who works there plays really good. Stay away from South Beach if they want to play serious pool. If they want to watch the lithe gazelles of South Beach run a bit, well thats a different story...

Best instructor in the area imo is Danny Diliberto. I just saw him last night giving some lessons to a young player.

Thanks! this was really really helpful! There used to be a place called Jillians in Kendall that was soooo nice. Unfortunately it just turned into more mall space. It was a shame!

Thank you again! :)

Iowa/Illinois - a fellow by the name of Jessie Bowman hands down!! Although Jamie Baraks isn't bad either. Along with a handful of players who'd much rather be not known.
