Any ideas who the best player in Arkansas is?
There aren't any Champions that I know of, some people that play shortstop speed...

Bobby Earl, Greg Dickens, Shane Taylor?

I remember there was a guy in his mid to late twenties from LR that played good...
And 1 other from Russelville, but I don't remember their names

Prolly Greg Jones @ 9ball on a barbox:)

Thats somewhat questionable for NC.

a couple of other names come to mind for North Carolina - Sparky Ferrell and Mike Davis that were not mentioned in the top part of the thread - where is Larry Nevel living now? he would be another tough draw.

(just read the rest of the thread and it looks like these guys were picked up already) - how about Dennis Hatch and Mike Zuglan for the New England area.

See post #36 & 48 in this thread...you are correct. I believe LN is in SC. :)

Were gonna have to start a new "ALL AROUND" list. I think in some parts of the country if you are winning all the 9ball/10ball tourneys your the man, but up here in the north east you better be able to play 14.1, and 1 pocket as well to say you are the best! Banks is still a novelty here for some reason?

Gerry

Jeff Sargent for Illinois. He isn't a pro, but a 3 time national champ is no push-over.

Luis Painter- This guys an animal!

I call bullshit..

Louis Painter? who is that? where does he play? Are you talking about Louis Viera out of Orlando?

Rodney Morris was living in Spring Hill Florida but he may have moved.

I saw Country Calvin in Houston a few weeks ago. He used to catch a gear now and then.

For Florida it's a toss up on any given day.

IMO, at the top are Corey Deuel, Robb Saez, Tony Crosby, Donnie Mills, John Schmidt, and don't ever forget Mike Sigel. At 54 he's still hitting them good - I saw him break and run 8 consecutive racks of 8 ball about a month ago. He still plays ALL games at a world class level and he is a threat to beat anybody IMO.

Doesn't Troy Frank live in Florida now? I thought he did. Mabe somebody can confirm that, if he does, he's at the top also.

Luis Viera is a great player, but about a week ago I heard he was detained for an extended stay in the Orange County Detention Facility. I don't think they have any pool tables in there.

Tommy Kennedy has moved back to Indiana, however he spends a lot of time here in Orlando when promoting his tour. He's one of the best no matter where he goes.

North Carolina - Mike Davis - Earl - Ron Parks - Brian White - Jeff Abernathy - & Mike Gulyassy is still hittting them pretty damn good.

Georgia - Louis Ulrich, Johnny Archer, Kim Davenport,

Mississippi - Art Tripp! :p

New Jersey - Danny Basavich

And Damian Alishan doesn't live here anymore. He lives in CA.

I stand corrected.

Isn't Mike Staubes also in S.C. ???
Charleston, SC to be exact. Man, now there's a flashback. I remember him from almost twenty years ago.

Mike looks exactly the same as he did 20 years ago, and he still hits the balls very well. Mike finished pretty high in a UPA event a few years ago, and I see him occasionally at tournaments in the southeast. He's a great player and one of the nicest peope you'll ever meet.
