I say Mcdermott or OB
I say Pechauer and I am a dealer. If you can tell me better, I would consider picking up that line. Opinions appreciated.

bahaha I was going to suggest Pechauer because that's what I got for a little over 300 and its the best I could find after testing every product. What about SW Cue? Adam cues? Poison Cues? Players cues? Lacasi cues? PureX cues? Poison's aren't to bad and their most expensive cue is around 300 I believe.

If he is planning on selling cues I'd not go for Poison. Their joints are just too fragile and at a low pricepoint you will sell a lot to bangers...Not good. They are very good cues as far as playability so I'd recommend them to a careful player. Adam cues: My first cue was an Adam. It is solid but the hit is dead. All other Adam cues I've ever tried has the same dead hit. Lucasis used to be a good deal, but since the prices went way up there are many cues that are better value for money. It is good to be able to use a normal predator shaft (uni-lock) but still, there are much better deals to be had.
Rat cues start at 330 and are well worth the price. I've owned both
Rat and Pechauer. I liked the Rat better, but it is over the 300 mark.
What builders do you feel make the best $300 cue? THx for your input. Tom
Well, you said you don't want to sell Viking or McDermott, so in that case I'd say Joss.
on a suggestion from Bill Yerd, http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=279765 i tried a HXT4 - it cost about $100 at that time. I was in sheer amazement - I couldn't believe a cue at that price could be soooooo good.
after that i bought another with the thin 11.75 shaft and a break/jump.
to reflect on some of the many cues i have such as southwest and others, what i consider great cues, i have to admit that these Players HXT's are amazing cues
These do not have the intrinsic artful work of a Hercek, or Szamboti but for the money imho they are Great Cues!
imo, for a small outlay, you can have a Great cue...
all the best,
smokey
I would buy a Jacoby, without hesitation.
OB is made in the USA, that is key to me. Do they have a $300 or less cue?
If we can get good playing $100 cues into the hands of new players, can you imagine how much the game could grow. Hell if room owners and bars would just have decent house cues more people would enjoy the game and possibly buy "their own" cue. How many people get free bowling balls when they join a league and end up bowling for the next 20 years. Just saying, they are building a client base.
