There is a schon posted on Tucson craigslist for sell asking for offers. I do not believe this to be legit. The pictures of the schon I believe were taken from Proficient Billiards. Schon spliced points.

The nice thing about CL is you usually can inspect the item before you purchase it.

We have a guy in Seattle that has been trying to sell cheap production has "high quality custom" for quite some time now... posts a new ad every week...

This looks to be his latest. http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/for/1115251458.html

I've reported it, posted "FRAUD" warnings, but I just can't keep up with it..... he always gets mine flagged and removed.

Recycled pics don't mean fraud, IMO.

Not that you are right or rhong...I'm just sayin'...

Fraud on Craigslist? Whatever, that never happens. All those ladies who provide "erotic services" look just like they do in the pictures...

Also beware of a scumbag posting on cl from arizona that goes by the name of frank wielander. He got me for 400.00 2 weeks ago. I don't think that's his real name but that's what he goes by. After i thought something was up i did a search on him and it lead me to a post about him here. He his also writing bad checks to people on cl. Also a ebay scammer. He disconected his number and everythung for 400.00. He is listing schons and cokers. Real scumbag, watchout.

I looked this one up. It shows a pic with Schon shaft but he mentions it also has a shaft that says 314 on it.
I have no interest in the cue, but I'm curious about the father he mentions was a champion player. He says his fathers name was Bob. What the heck, I'm going to contact him later today and ask about his father. I've lived in Tucson since 1976 and can't think of a great player with the name of Bob. At least not a Bob from Tucson. Just curious.

I'd be curious, too. Please post after you talk to him!

He does not say his father is named BOB he says that a guy named BOB (Bob Runde)made the cue for his dad. I bet if you ask for more pictures of the cue you will get more from Proficient Billiards or none at all.

I emailed the guy , asking about it and a minute later saying that 'nevermind I just saw the pictures are from proficientbilliards.com' - just to see what his reaction is. As you know, in this way it is a lot easier to get the truth out of him, he won't be kidding around about how he found the cue in his dad's locker or whatever.

His answer was (quote!): "What ! You think proficient owns that cue ?? Never Mind you are
probably just going to lowball me anyway. Scott."

I never said that proficient owns it, I said the pictures are from there. I know, I have checked that gallery on the site at least one zillion times.

As for lowballing, I do have some cash ready to move on the right deal. But this is not it, although I think it would be worth it for around $1,300. The more below it, the better the deal, the more above it... well, I would think it about it twice.

Unfortunately all this doesn't matter, unless we can see pictures from the seller himself.

frank wielander??????

I got scammed by frank wielander and when I type his name in it brings me here. If any one wants info on him I have it. Picture court dates and more please call me 4806789342

Craig list scams - Safety net below ...

Fraud on Craigslist?

I have had good luck with Craig's List for I have sold 4 cars there in a very short time. I do not take checks or cashiers checks, cash only! I also went as far as getting one of those yellow marking pens to check the bills, a copy of the buyer's CA driver's license and I also check each bill under a black light for the little thread strip glows under a black light, sometimes yellow or sometimes orange.

If you do all of the above items then you should be safe to sell on Craig's List. I also sometimes get a copy of the buyers car registration that they drive for I tell them ahead of time I need (2) items of identification so they can buy a car from me, and I have them e-mail them to me ahead of time before I meet with them. I tell them I need the info so I can write up the "Bill of Sale" and no buyer ever complained when I asked them for these items.

Cash talks, no checks and no cashiers checks, and that will keep the scam buyers away. I have had dozens of scammers try to buy cars from me. They will buy them site unseen with phony cashier checks. Then they want to tow the car away even though it runs, so you get a phony cashier's check and a bill from the tow truck driver on a tow they never got paid on. The scammer gets your car for FREE, and you are holding only a bill from a tow truck driver who also got scammed, and was it not your car that the tow truck driver never got paid on, you may or may not be responsible for the tow bill if the car gets towed 500 miles away and then stipped down and sold for parts by a phony buyer?

Watch out!
