I was soooo close to biding on this cue, I'm glad I passed.

Dale sorry for what happen to you, I dont wish to happen to anyone in AZB , I hope you get your money back and I hope BigJohn come forward to resolve this issue.
 
Rumor has it Bigjohn was online early this morning reading this thread....I wonder why he didn't leave a reply????
 
From seeing that video, that is definitely not a taper roll.
That nose had to be straight before the pin was inserted.

Give the guy his money back, do the right thing, this cue is worthless and you shouldn't have listed it, even on eBay. I would never even try to sell a cue like that, usless I warned the buyer 10-different ways. In addition the shafts were misrepresented, so take the cue back, and refund snowmon34's money.

If the buyer has to eat the shipping back, no big deal.

Do the right thing

It's just a real shame these kinda' stories seem to pop up so frequently these days. Since bigjohn1211 has an excellent eBay feedback rating, I guess there is no way to predict who you can trust. Very sad.

Hey Charlie I'm glad to see one of the good guys is still around :)
I think bigjohn1211 knew what he was doing....he didn't have the make offer option available through ebay....the make offer was listed in the description portion of the auction.....so all of his offers were through email vs ebay.......so there are no records of offers as far as ebays concerned, and of course when he sees a offer he likes ....he sends an invoice, and if the buyer pays.....he ends the auction.....no final value fees, and he protects his feedback if the buyer is not satisfied.....I have to admit I was fooled by the feedback....
 
Just when people were starting to say something good about eBay on AZB this happens. Personally the power seller rating has never impressed me. I emailed one power seller that sells so much stuff that 1100 negative feedbacks a year only affects his rating by a percent or two, answered by telling me that he quit responding to the negative feedbacks, he sells so much stuff, he dosen't need to care.
 
Most of the cues i've purchased on eBay have had problems, but I have received a credit to my paypay account each time. I am done buying cues on eBay, but it is unusual for someone to refuse a refund if they get the cue back. Bigjohn took a chance, it didn't work, now he needs to step up and do the return. There may be someone out there that wants a Bluegrass cue bad enough to buy this one with the existing problems if the price is right, but it has to be disclosed before the bidding. He is probably selling the cue for someone else
and didn't even roll it on a pool table

All my dealings with Dale have been positive. Why not just take the cue back and refund his money?
 
Sounds like BigJohn is full of shi*.he come here and says it is not true,and he had a give away price,paymanet plan,and there is fake video.then he says he is done and he will not reply again to the thread.sounds like he is guilty to me.

I've never heard of such a thing either a butt is warped or it's not warped....imo..it was also obvious to me that they were setting me up for a failure and I emailed them back stating that "within tolerance" wasn't going to work for me. and the shafts being off 4/10 oz was enough to warrant a refund..after a few more emails they told me I was stuck with the cue..Here is a link to the video of the warped nose, the ebay auction, and a few photos of a postal scale, and my scale....when you read the ebay auction it sounds like a new cue....:rolleyes:

I FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT IF YOU'RE NOT HAPPY, YOU WANT A REFUND, AND YOU SHOULD GET IT. THE WEIGHT BEING LIED ABOUT IS HORRIBLE. I'VE SEEN SCALES OFF BEFORE BUT NEVER BY THAT MUCH.

Man...AZbilliard need to setup another thread section for Complaint or Deuling or "Most Wanted:" so members can comment and add their 2cents and those that like these kinds of entertainment do not cluttter the up the for sales or wanted threads!!! Com'n guys these kind of thread is really taking it away from the for sales item/wanted section and I personally don't think it does AZ or the pool community any good!!

Everything is moving so fast already on this thread now a days and sales doesn't seem to be improving for anyone, if anything it make it more relunctant for newbies member to buy cues here.

Will someone at AZ please setup another thread for complaint or for guys that want to lash out, give their opinion or what they think is right or not right. Just too many people that making fast and harsh judgement based on information on this board that they can't or don't even know is true and even if it true.

Hey, I understand these guys need to get the word out that they been cheated but let's not do it on this thread! PLease. AZ, please create another thread section, "MOst Wanted, reward offers" something!!

Dealings with Big John

I have dealt with this gentleman. He has bought thosounds of dollars in cues from me and people I know. Hew buys many cues in the $2000 and up range mostly. He probably bought this cue from another AZer that is well respected. I know he was sold a few bluegrasses from a AZ cue dealer that has a super rep. I can't say if this was one of those cues but John is no schiester. I found him to be very easy to deal with. He and his wife extreemly nice and are no strangers to higher end cue buying.
I wouldn't hesitate to deal to him again.

John is right there is another video and I did send it by mistake, but unfortunately I deleted it....The video was not a fake....it was actually real, and real embarrassing on my part :rolleyes: ...I had never used the video portion of my digital camera, so before I took the cue to the pool table I wanted to make sure I knew how to operate the camera, and I was able to get the right angle, and to make sure the quality of the video was ok....I TOOK A VIDEO ROLLING THE CUE ON MY AREA RUG IN MY LIVING ROOM.....I HAD IT STORED AND I SENT IT TO JOHNS WIFE JAN BY MISTAKE.....JAN GAVE ME A BUNCH OF S@#& FOR SENDING THE VIDEO AND I FELT STUPID.....HERE IS HER EMAIL AND MY REPLY......JOHN I KNOW YOU STILL HAVE THE VIDEO FOR EVERYBODY TO SEE...SO SHOW EVERYBODY HOW I TRIED TO FOOL YOU......LET ME GUESS YOU DONT HAVE IT EITHER LOL.....HERE IS THE EMAIL AND MY EMBARASSING REPLY.......ITS OBVIOUS BY MY REPLY I WASN'T TRYING TO FOOL ANYBODY

You didnt do your home work on me.....any body that knows me on azb knows I'm really picky when it comes to pool cues.... I guess I have a reputation you might say.....it makes me laugh that you would actually accuse me of agreeing to a as-is no return purchase......ARE YOU KIDDING ME......WHO IN THE HELL WOULD AGREE TO A NO RECOURSE PURCHASE ON A POOL CUE......I'M SORRY THAT IS THE DUMBEST THING I'VE EVER HEARD OF......I WOULD NEVER AGREE TO A AS IS NO RETURN PURCHASE.....NOT IN MY LIFE TIME.....THAT IS SUCH A RED FLAG...IF YOU TOLD ME IT WAS AN AS IS PURCHASE I WOULD OF TOLD YOU TO POUND SAND..HELL JOHN WHEN YOU TOLD ME THE SHAFTS WERE 3.4 OZ I TOLD YOU I WAS NO LONGER INTERESTED IN THE CUE.....NOW IF 3.4 OZ SHAFTS WEREN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME WHY WOULD A AS IS NO RETURN PURCHASE FLY WITH ME....WOW ANYMORE LIES???


By the way when John told me the shafts were 3.4 oz I declined the sale.....John than emails me back stating that his scale was not accurate and he weighed the shafts at the post office on his magic scale and they weighed 4.0 oz.....so I took the cue ......stupid me.....you notice how John doesnt address the shafts being off 4/10 oz..:rolleyes:

Marcus.....no disrespect intended, but I'm done with videos, and I'm done with pictures......John and his wife have accused me of sending a deceiving video......they also stated that my scale and the post office scale was off.....I spent 3 hours yesterday going to 3 different post offices to take more pictures....1 was closed and the other 2 didnt have scales in there po box area.....I'M DONE....the shaft weights alone warrant a refund, but John never addresses that issue.....isnt that strange? I asked John why he thought I was going through all this trouble to return a cue..he told me my rent was due......thats as creative as he could get.....in other words there is no reason other than the facts....by the way there are several people that know my monetary status, and trust me I dont have any problems paying the rent;)

I don't blame you for running John......these azb members are not stupid and I'm sure they have plenty of questions for you......I invite you back ......please come back....can I please buy a cue as-is no return from a total stranger.....that is so me.....give me a break
