How many came, how did it go with Earl, and Johnny.???

CLASS SIZE WAS SMALL WITH MANY ON LOOKERS; BOTH GUYS WERE GREAT AND SHARED THEIR KNOWLEDGE IN POOL ALONG WITH INSITE ON STORIES, MOSCONI CUP, ETC. I LIKE IT VERY MUCH AND LEARNED A LOT.

They allowed lookers?

I want a picture. It was a good experience I think for all concerned. The players also enjoyed it and because we had a couple of people who dropped out at the last min it was great for the students. I would like to thank them and everyone who helped me and supported me with this. Earl and Johnny said that it is great to teach with less people and made it more intimate so maybe next time we will keep the classes smaller and just have to ask for a little more money.

I find it interesting that you mention that there were many onlookers. This sounded like a great deal at a great price from highly respected and knowledgable people. Why didn't some more of the locals buy into this. I realize that many people don't have the extra money, but this class should have filled up. When Scott Lee comes to my area, New Jersey, I jump at the chance to learn from him. Sometimes I have to scrounge for the cash since I'm putting two son's through college, his rates are very reasonable for private video taped (dvd) lessons. I am amazed at the number of players I know who have cash to gamble with, but won't pay for a lesson. Do you folks think I expect too much?

Honestly, I don't think the majority of players knew about it until it was too late.

And Efren was playing 1-pocket at Alexander's on Tuesday. With all the pro's getting shuffled from one venue to another, there were big names in all the pool rooms.

Due to work i showed up at 2 minutes to 1 P.M. and just made it. I can appreciate what comes up in people's lives but for those who couldn't attend ....it was an incredible afternoon of pool. 6 people, split up into 2 groups for 2 hours with 1 pro, then 2 more with the other. I got johnny first and I'll tell you 1 thing. I don't think i've met a more geniune person in pool. I could tell that he was really paying close attention to all of us during his observation of our shooting. He noticed something in my game that I would have never noticed on my own and helped me correct it. If johnny sees this I'll just say the words "Fishing line" Then we switched and the Earl show began. I wasn't sure what to expect but what i saw amazed me. The stroke....stevie wonder even noticed that, but more importantly was the patience earl exibited. I blew the same shot like 5 times but he kept with it until i finally nailed it. I could see the love he has for the game, pumping us up when we did well. He took the whole time seriously and that is exactly what i was hoping for. I could've seen a scenairo where these 2 champs just strolled in, punched the clock, went through the motions watching the clock the whole time and at the 3:59 mark start to unscrew. But they went past the 4 hour mark and seemingly couldn't care when they found the door. All in all a memorable experience and a special thanks to Mark and kolby's as well. And looking back on the day as much as I do wish Mark could have had 20 or more......I am guessing the 6 of us who attended wouldn't have changed a thing. I probably missed a bunch of stuff but i hope this gives a glimpse for those who didn't pull the trigger. Next time maybe...
