Biggest Spot Ever Witnessed?

I once saw a set where the guy played the entire match with his cue backwards (using the bumper). He lost.
i once saw a guy place a game of eight while having to sit in a chair. he won, so i was next on the table to face him and his chair but i won legitimately.

I played a race to 9(9-ball) one day with a guy and I gave him 3 games plus ball in hand everytime I miss a shot even if its not a foul.

Biggest spot I ever seen was Larry nevel giving the 1 ball out in nine ball. Race to 22 But Larry got the breaks. No one in the whole place wood play him.

I saw Bruce Berrong give some b players if they made a ball they won as long as he got first shot after break

I've seen Stevie Moore walk into Rackem in Matthews NC and give anybody the six and out and the breaks and he took the cheese, also Junior was In Charlotte a few years ago giving the same bet and I think the starting bet is 100 a game. Leonard
I dont know this player .I have heard his name .... but if I get the 6-out and the snaps , I get the cheese....

He will give you pretty much what you want. He beat Archer playing even race to 11 money match. They are both from Georgia

It'd be hard for me to believe he could consistently beat Archer though...maybe a set here or there.

Since the rails are his pockets you wait till the right time say maybe the six or seven ball and when the cueball hits any rail you call it a scratch and run out with ball in hand, Helps to be well armed also. Leonard

I'll tell you what...just because I'm a nice guy...I'll still take this bet! ;)
I'll even shoot the nine in a pocket!

i might have posted this before but I watched Efren give someone(who could play) 12-4 one pocket and win easily, i watched for 2 hours and he was up about 6 games, this was around 1990, so I dont remember everything but they were playing foer atleast 100/game maybe 200, but i do remember that efren was up alot of games and i'm positive of the spot 12-4, they were playing in Hardtimes in the afternoon, i was the only one watching.

i watched ronnie wiseman give a guy a spot on a bar table , don't recall what it was but he had to play with one of those giant cues that they use on a 6x12 snooker table. i think they are about 8 feet long:eek: . funny. there was one spot where the cue would hit the wall. he got the money to by the way.

Gabe Owen did the same thing down in Corpu Christi 2 years ago and beat some guy out of app 4 dimes.

I play chicks opposite handed, with 1 hand and my eyes shut :P
Not anyone who can play of course.

You pretty much look like an ass even for trying tho, no matter who wins. I enjoy the challenge I guess.

I think eyes closed (after you're set) is a great hustle. If you have the chance to get set properly and have a good stroke you should make balls maybe 80%+ as consistently as you would with open eyes.

I often play my friend 11-4 in 9 ball. We also play where I give the last 5. I win the 11-4 set a little more often than the last 5. I have to play good to win. One day I gave up both spots. 11-4 giving the last 5. Amazingly I won 11-1. That's the most I've ever given up.

I'm from Europe and i don't really understand the terms lke : "2 and the breaks" .
Is it like the one who gets the spot has to make only the 1 or 2 ball and he wins , what happends if the 1 or 2 are pocketed on the break?
Can someone explain all the terms, i'm trying to understand the spots but i don't think i'm getting them right.

Lefty Bob & 1pkt in Bensinger's

I rated "Lefty Bob" the worst Onepocket player in the world among the people who played the game on a regular basis. When "Lefty Bob" played Artie Bodendorfer in Bensinger's, Artie would lay Bob 200 to 1 on the money plus the break, for $2 a game. For years Bob never won a game. If by some miracle he got close, Artie would make a settlement with him. When I played Bob, I gave him 16 to 1 on the money, plus the break. I could only run two balls and had to stop and play a safety. I would only play him if I was dead broke. Several times he won the first game and I had to put up 16 beads on the scoring string. I would have to win 16 in a row to keep him from discovering that I was playing without money. He never caught me.
