Ok, first off (after waiting about a month, i'm finally able to post) I'm new to the forum and pretty new to pool (playing everyday for about 3 months now). I was going to ask for suggestions on what cue to buy but after playing with my dad's Mcdermott for the last month and a half, I've decided to stay with Mcdermott and today I bought Mcdermott's M5-3C model from Billiards Warehouse. Does anyone know how long it takes to arrive if it is from the "custom" order form. It says 2-3 weeks lead time, but i'm antsy and i wanted to know how long I'd be waiting. Thanks.

Give it about Two and a half Weeks. Good call, It's a great site. I have not known of anyone with any problems with them. I've Ordered from them before without any problems.

When you say Custom order form, what Custom work is being done.

Billiard Warehouse are great people to deal with. They are located somewhere in the united states (Not sure exactly where) but i'm living in Kuwait (Middle-east) so thats like half-world far right? and I made a deal with them few months ago and it was so smooth. I recieved my shafts and cues from them after 2 weeks from ordering it ;) thumbs up for them from me.

I have also dealt with them before and everything went smooth.
Give Greg a call with your order number for an update.

when I use to work sales at Aurora Road Billiard Supplies several, several + years ago... I handled processing about 90% of Greg's orders from there and talked with him on numerous occasions and developed a repore as well....

I will attest this man is 100% professional and a very genuine man to do business with...

I can assure if there are any delays... the are unavoidable !

And he also called reguarly to follow up on his orders and obtain tracking #'s too, his customers are his #1 concern...

He takes his website and business very serious and has an excellent reputation and business track record to boot !

If you have any questions... give him a call he's real easy to talk to and is usually available...

SIncerely, Eddie Wheat

pretty new to pool huh..well my friend, get ready have a life long obsession with it as the rest of us already do!

Honestly, you will get a better deal on billiard warehouse than a local shop. I personally would rather buy local because I go crazy waiting more than 5 min for ANYTHING and I like to see what Im buying in person..... however, the deals and selections online cannot be beat and that wins every time.

Just something to think about.

Ive got several cues from them and they were quick to ship and I got amazing deals. So I would stick with them if I were you.... and I would also get a Lucasi over a McDermott... but thats just apples and oranges.

I realize that it will be cheaper on the internet but I don't like any of the other lower end mcdermott's and thats all i've played with so i am going to want to try the cue before i buy it. (I was looking at schmelke but I'm not sure yet)

Buy from BW confidently. Greg and Paul will take care of you, and the customer service afterwards can't be beaten if needed.

Lucasi and McDermott cues are both great. Bill Lucas owns Lucasi, and Bill Stroud (JossWest) went to China and did the QC on the CNC machines. Both companies have a lifetime guarantee now IIRC, including tip and shaft maintainance and warpage. McDermotts are "Made In the USA". That tips the scales for me. On the other hand, I don't care for the ferrule material that McDermott uses. Holds chalk. YMMV...Tom

Conerstone had some really nice McD's. They were made from old stock and I think he said were full splice cues. They are not plain cues.

Give Bill a call
