Back from page 4

OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) - Ocean Springs Police have released a surveillance photo showing the last person seen with Michael Surber before he was killed. The 54-year-old Surber was found dead at his home Thursday night.

Police say Jericho Cooper is a white man in this late 40s to mid 50s. He's about six feet tall and weighs between 175 and 185 pounds. He wears his receding hair pulled back in a ponytail, just below the collar.

Cooper is considered a "person of interest" in the case, and is wanted for questioning. He was last seen in the Jackson area on Sunday, November 15th. Police say he's known to frequent bars and pool halls.

If you have any information on Jericho Cooper's whereabouts, call the Oceans Springs Police Department at (228) 875-2211, or your local law enforcement agency.

Man, I have sent several e-mails and hand-delivered a hard-copy letter with attachments to America's Most Wanted, and now, after ALL THAT EFFORT, I get this F*ing boilerplate e-mail from them:

Dear Viewer:

Thank you for writing to America's Most Wanted. AMW only accepts requests for stories or segments through the mail. Please send your request to:

America's Most Wanted
P.O. Box Crime TV
Washington, DC 20016-9126

PLEASE WRITE TO AMW TODAY.
I was afraid that would be the case, Jennie. It seems from the wording on their website that they don't want Emails re cases for consideration.

For the people who would like to contact them, it's almost as easy to send a letter. I did. And I sincerely hope they'll take an interest in this case.

I had to ship a couple of things today, and took a minute to write and mail a letter to AMW about Mike Surber's murder.
I think every time I have to mail out some packages, I will send them another.

THis is a very long thread, so I may have missed it, but are there any pictures of the missing cues? If we had a clue what the cues looked like, we might have a clue what to watch for. Even if the guy doesn't use them, he might sell them and that would be probable proof of his presence in a particular area.

Cue pics???????

Reportedly no missing cues, as I understand it.

Newsgroups

I just thought about another way that we may be able to send out information about this guy. There are numerous forums that we all belong to. I do not want to send to them all but I am going to post in some of those where I don't think the newsgroups or forum members will mind.

If someone will help and knows about newsgroups, there are over 40,000 different newsgroups and some of them are gambling, casinos, pool, blackjack, cards, and thousands of other similar subject matter newsgroups, etc. I am thinking about checking out those and posting in them.

Newsgroups are accessed through your Microsoft Outlook Express program. You can receive help there to learn how to join a newsgroup. THERE IS NO CHARGE TO JOINING a newsgroup and newsgroups are similar to the AZ Billiards Main Forum as far as posting is concerned.

If you need help accessing the newsgroups, I am sure some of our AZ members will be happy to help as I am.

There have been a few posts in different places online that mention that his cues were stolen. I believe one post in this thread said his private collection wasn't stolen, but the cues he had with him were stolen. I could be imagining things, but when I sent links to my daughter-in-law, she asked me about the stolen cues and what they looked like, so she saw the references, as well.

Anyone know for sure?

The above referenced post says:

The unofficial word is that the guy did not get into Mike's safes and steal his cue collection. Supposedly Mike's cues that he carried with him are missing. I don't know if that's true or not. IF he did get the cues, I believe Mike played with a Scruggs and a Kersenbrock. As soon as either of these two points are confirmed, someone will post it on the websites.

So, I'm simply asking whether anyone knows if any of his cues were stolen, or not? And, if they were, what do they look like? If they were, those cues could be a major help in finding this guy.

It was reported later that no cues are missing personal or collection. It is back in this thread somewhere.

I am fairly certain that no cues are missing. I think I read a post by someone else who said none of Mike's cues were missing.

Well, AMW just woke up a sleeping lion -- or lioness, in my case. Now I'm really going to bombard them with written material. My printer prints 28 to 30 pages per minute, and I can bang out pages at 150-plus words per minute.

They won't know what hit them. I will have every single member in my family sign a letter. I have to get two jobs out today that came in late last night, requiring me to be here. However, after that I am devoting my entire evening to this mission.

Also, I have a free website domain available to me, which I was saving for Keith down the road. However, this is more important. I just might create one for this cause if we don't get any movement from here on in. I am no website designer, but I can sure as heck upload pictures and follow the templates.

AMW, here I come. Oh, Nancy Grace might be another good vehicle to get the word out. I'm not letting this case go cold.
