Only my second non pointed cue (The first one was the second cue I ever made). Actually have another one I just finished that I'll post once it's wrapped. One more non pointed cue that might be done this year. I won't do another one for quite a while after that.

All white on the cue is Ivory. Both shafts have Ivory Ferrrules as well.

Nice Cue.

The Koa ain't too darn shabby either.

Nice looking cue but I agree no more plane janes without points. Your point work and veneers are some of the best out there so you should add them to the majority of your cues.

The reason I don't really do non pointed cues is that I can only do so many cues per year as it is. It doesn't take me any less time to do a cue like this than one with points and I would rather make pointed cues. I probably have 4x the money in raw materials in this cue that I have in one of my 4 pointers (with no ivory joint or butt). That piece of Koa cost me a fortune and the birds eye wasn't cheap either.

A couple of months ago somebody gave me a huge chunk of Koa that he had sitting around in his shop for 15 years, which is even nicer than this. I can get about 20 forearms or handles out of it, so hopefully we'll see some more cues with Koa in the future.

Very nice cue, Tony. Wood like that would be a waste to cover with points. Good choice.

BEM/Koa

That's beautiful Tony! You know.. I was born in Hawaii. I should have went with Koa wood. :D Actually, that BEM is really beautiful though. Very clean and bright. Great work as usual.

It's not too late Cyrex. I had a rough week last week and didn't get a couple going that I should have. Yours is the one I'm dreading as it is.

Now THAT is the kinda BEM I'm talking about!!! ANd that curly Koa isn't too shabby either! ;)

Very nice work...cue is gorgeous!

Curly Koa

That's sweet... I bought a few curly koa turning squares last time I was in Kauai. I sent one off to be made into a cue. I hope it looks that good.

nice piece of koa. One of the best pieces I have seen on a cue for a long while.
Been one of my dream to get a cue with such deadly koa in it. :D

Geesh, I did not know that Mr Zinzola does make plain cues.
If I have known, I might have gotten 1 together with my current order. :frown:

Nice looking merry widow Tony. Your deco rings give your cues a distinct and dressed up look. The woods are not the least bit shabby!

Then charge for it. That cue is gorgeous. I don't care if someone out there screams all kinds of obscenities about "How can you justify paying as much for a cue without points, as one WITH points". That cue, in MY opinion...would be worth whatever you charged because of the raw materials. That cue's right up my alley. Simple, clean, brilliant. Wonderful work, Tony.

Thanks. I did charge for it. I just had a couple of complainers about the price, saying they could buy a cue with points for less from me, so I was a bit annoyed when I posted. The cue was sold to somebody who bought three cues from me at once and he was going to resell this one. It sold fast and I could have sold it several times. The people who were serious about it never complained once, just the people looking to steal something.

It looks like this cue is coming back to me. The Owner asked if I'd take it as a trade on a more expensive cue and I agreed. It may be up for sale again as soon as next week.
