only one that ever points that cue out is old paris, barkcinnamon, and a ton of other names. Don't doubt that this is IT again.

Blackboar

So, I'm new here and I've seen this cue a bunch of times on Ebay. One of my friends is a blackboar collector and friend of Tony but he has never told me what the deal is with it... only to stay away.

So, what is the deal with this cue. I know just by looking at the price that there is something fishy going on. Can someone tell me a little more please.

Damn good question! I guess I'm still 3000 posts away from having been around long enough!

I don't know the whole story, but I've seen enough of these threads to know that this BB is not a 100% BB. And that's without going to see what cue it is.

I assume it's the same cue that has inlays that are done by someone else, and the seller knows this, but is still asking a price that is far too high.

But I'm at work, so I can't view the pictures...but I'm 99.99% positive it's the same cue and that with a little search of barkcinnamon will get you all the info you can handle.

Well, he has a lot of eBay feedback, mostly positive.
Why does this cue get a bad rep? I get the feeling it was cursed or
used to murder someone, or something.

http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=96090&highlight=barkcinnamon here is a good thread to start with. Only about 12 names, all of them have been banned. Comes back each time under a new name, takes a few weeks to two months usually to get noticed.

Was a dick, thief, and all around pain the ass.

The black boar inlays were done by someone else, which is obvious, by never mentioned in the ebay ads for the cue. Believe they were done by Phillipi (spelling might be wrong).

blackboar cue

I knew it had something to do with those oval inlays. I know that Tony doesn't really do that type of work out of personal preference. It just looked funny when I saw it.

But that price almost gave me a little chubby... before I took a step back and thought about it.

I wonder if I could buy it and then move to Korea (I am in January) and sell it to one of those Japanese guys for an amazing amount of money. Any thoughts? I know it is mildly dishonest but hey, if they are stupid enough to buy it without looking into it, then it's there fault right?

Greg

Not too long ago there was a Black Boar that had someone else s inlays. I thought it looked different than this.

Oh, caught you lookin at the avatar again.

You can use this for an avatar......

Hmmm, yeah, now I remember the other Black Boar cue had a butt more white than the one in my avatar. So there must be a few of these going around.

Too bad the cue was modified to include the inlays.
It was a great looking cue on its own without them.
Hopefully it will be donated back to Tony one day - who really wants to turn the cue into fire wood.

I just made a best offer of 24.47

Others should make their best offer IMO
