I have a black walnut tree in my yard that needs trimmed. If any pieces are large enough, should I keep them for future use?

It make me wonder, burls and other woods aren't "good" either but if properly stabilized or impregnated does it matter? Especially with the common practiceofcoring now days?
Walnut is light, pingy and stable. If that is what you are looking for. It's a great cue wood.
