I watched the CNN documentary Blackfish about the captured Orca whales preforming in water parks.
Whale researcher Dave Duffas was talking about the whales. He said the Orcas were always in control
and mentioned that when around them the rules are the same as pool, one foot on the floor at all times.

I saw that. Very good show. Very sad towards the end. I hope they ram sea world into releasing the whales.

I enjoyed the documentary, it was well done and glad to see it on CNN. My good friend and pro player Angel Paglia was talking about it online also as she is very passionate about saving the whales and dolphins. It will be awhile before Sea World is shut down because of the amount of money they make and the lawyers they have guarding them. I will never go there that is for sure.

My prior employer went to the Supreme Court to defend its right to use animals in its business- elephants/ ringling brothers- and after a decade long battle prevailed.

I think sea world will likely continue to have the same right, based on legal precedent.

What is the difference between a zoo and a private entity, when it comes to using animals as attractors?
