Blue Book of Pool Cues III - reviews ???

SCCues & Cuenut, I share your pain. I ordered mine in Dec 03. They have given me a free subscription to 2nd Edition on-line 2 times now, but I still don't have my copy of the 3rd Edition....maybe soon!!!

You know what they say......pictures add 20 lbs. Maybe its a widescreen picture compressed into a regular screen!!!

Wouldn't that make you look smaller? I would think it would have to be a regular picture widened to make you look wider...lol.

No additional widening needed for me though!

IT'S ACTUALLY WWW.BLUEBOOKINC.COM

HOPE THIS HELPS.

Just to clarify: The website you selected is for the Blue Book Company that publishes the book. Cuebook.com is Brad Simpson's website who is the author. This may be why he is offering a signed copy.

They came in yesterday! I have only had enough time to thumb through it. Many new cuemakers that I have never heard of. Great overall, but I don't particularly like the occasional 1 off cues in each maker's section that are individually priced, such as the Bender Hawaii cue or the Ginky Mottey. I think, if you are going to provide prices for that maker's works, leave it like it was. However, I would really like to see a new section with those one-off cues. That could almost be a monthly subscription with all of the nice cues being made these days. I guess my point is that what Ginky's cue is worth tells me nothing about the value of any other Mottey. It only seems to glorify the owner and provide more provenance for him/her to get a higher price for it if they decide to sell it at a later date. Prices still seem to be high in the book compared to the true marketability at this date and time, in general, IMO.

Mine came yesterday as well .. significantly thicker than 1st and 2nd edition.

Need to go through it ...

We got ours in today and it looks good hope to sell a few at the pool room as we bought 12. I wish all the pictures were in color

I Still Don't Have Mine.

CAN I GET ONE OF YOU GUYS THAT HAS THE BOOK ALREADY TO TAKE A PICTURE OF THE COLOR TASCARELLA SECTION AND E-MAIL IT TO ME AT DCBASSGUY@HOTMAIL.COM. I'M TIRED OF WAITING FOR IT TO ARRIVE.

To everyone that has received theirs, did you all order it from cuebook.com and ebay? Has anyone got theirs from Amazon?
Thanks

I ordered directly from Brad at cuebook.com and it took about a week (UPS ground). I have another book still on order with overstock.com.

Thats brad simpson's website and thats the place to order them from.I just ordered mine!

I got just mine today from Brad's site (cuebook.com) personalized autograph but the two I already ordered from Blue Book publications site are not in yet.

The book is way better. For one, higher quality photos on the price guide sections printed on better paper. Way more cues with prices, up dated prices, and a lot more info.

This book is fantastic. the prices have to be taken with a grain of salt, but I thought the areas in which I am familiar were pretty good.

Blue Book Delivery Update

Hello All
I am in DEEP South Texas. I also purchased my copy May of 2004.
Just got off the phone with customer service, and the very nice lady informed me that all pre-orders were shipped on Monday.

They were shipped Book Rate postage, so depending on where you live, the Post Office will be dropping a copy in your mail box shortly. As you know Book Rate is very slow, and waiting for my copy is nerve racking.

The lady mentioned that next Wed-Fri would be the outside delivery date for the entire USA. She did look up my order, and did find it quickly. So I am a bit more at ease of that.

FYI for all who are waiting:D
Thanks

Its the cheapest service you can get for delivery of a item thru the post office I believe.Hope they didnt charge 7.95 for shipping and make 6.00 bucks on that like most place's now a days!

I recieved mine yesterday. It does have a lot more cuemakers that probably dont belong there.I thought it was suppose to be the best CM;s of today and yesterday.I would think you need a track record to make it into the book.
In any case I am happy, my Skip is in ther in color and B&W.That makes it a little better.I was surprised that there were a few Phillipino CM;s in there.I dont mind i own a Viattorre and would be proud to own a Reyes.i am already looking foward to the 4th edition.

Blue Book Came In Today

As my previous post said--The nice lady informed me that all pre-orders went out on last Monday, book rate mail.
I got mine in today.

So most everyone should have theirs also.
Huge paperweight.
Wow, what a heavy book this is.
Will figure out how to exercise with it to build my stroke.:)
FYI
See ya
