Bob Jewett Recieves BCA President's Award

congrats bob!!
great writeup and terrific achievement-
pool/billiards is better for your passionate efforts
thanks for all contributions..they are (obviously) appreciated

Wow,, what a great honor to receive from the top authority in Billiards.

And FYI- nobody has truly ever done anything "big" in one act,, it is always the culmination of little things.

We are lucky to have you giving input from time to time in the forum.

Awesome Bob, Congratulations!

Hopefully we can start up our Sunday games again soon!

If there is ever a Lifetime Achievement Award for accomplishments relating to a silly game...Bob has got to get it first.

Thanks for your long term support of this life distraction we love, bob.

I've known mbvl for about 40 years. He was my doubles partner back in intramurals in school way back when. Go Bears. (y) 🐻🐻
It was actually 47 years ago that we met (probably in the Berkeley student union pool hall) shortly after we had returned from Vietnam. He knows quite well that I was kidding. Congratulations, Bob.

Return from Nam and enroll at UC Berkley?

That must have been fun.

"Among his myriad accomplishments are ... organizing and writing the rules for his own 9-ball league in college that eventually became the PBT rules and then effectively the WPA World-Standardized Rules"

So Bob effectively wrote the World-Standardized Rules...

pj <- color me impressed
chgo
and there are those who feel he isn't qualified to make judgements on pool related matters 😉

Not a moment too soon, Bob....I remember the first time I met you..bought the Artistic Billiards book
at a trade show...a misunderstanding...I thought it said Autistic Billiards.
...and you have Ronnie Allen as a victim also? ...color me even more impressed.

I'm a little proud of the R.A. win because I outsharked him. Ask me about it the next time you see me.;)
And I'm not so sure you misunderstood. :giggle:
