that he won about 10 Texas Opens in a row
Including running 11 racks in a row

comes with a Fellini with his name on it
$1985

really a great Schrager cue, fancy and it won all those tournaments
with a little help from BobVanover

this is a true piece of history ,sure to please you and
attract attention

dean

by the way, this is a very fancy super inlay cue worth more than$2000
on its own

i am hoping to sell it to a friend of Bob Vanover

214 477 7323

The cue was identified by Jack Potter,a friend of Bob's and mine and Cathy Vanover,Bob's wife

I was told he ran 2 racks to finish the semi finals and 9 racks from the break against Lizard

Now I am told he might have played Mc Dermott in that tournament, but had played
the scrager for many many years and won many Texas Opens

He ran out the finals against Lizard using a Maple stained D-23 McDermott Rose cue.

Right, Robin. And also a race to 9, not 11. We were both there. Steve won lag, broke, nothing fell, and the rest was history.

Bob Vanover’s Model M Palmer Cue

He is widely known in Texas as a genuine monster player.
Great Schrager cue, a great value, and a special named case to go along with it!
Cathy and Jack giving provenance, it gets no better, a genuine collectible.

Thanks to Will for the kind words
but I may have misrepresented the part of my story
about Bob running 11 racks to win the texas Open

Robin has informed us that Bob was playing a mc dermott for that special feat

so i was wrong, but i have been told he won a bunch of Texas Opens with my schrager

Thanks for straitening me out,I had only part of my story right

I sold one of bob's Felleni cases and I have his tooled one
that this cue he played for years was in

Bob's Shrager cue is truly one the nicest I have ever laid eyes on. Deano is offering up a bargain and no one has jumped on it yet.

thanks for the kind words

i was hoping it would find a loving home

bob was truly loved by people in the area
he was a pool legend down here, won every time he played
and he was an honest businessman, and family man

i didn't know him very well as he was more of a tournament player and i wasn't anywhere near that level

he was not flashy ,but he seemed to be always in shape

Little about Bobs Cue

This really is a beautiful cue. I have a picture of it on my phone. When Dean
was buying it he had the seller send me a picture to verify that it was the cue.
I am not as computer savvy as Dean so I will try to get my wife or grandson
to help me post a picture. It is fancy but very tastefully done, with one of the
coolest butt sleeves ever. It has a 3/8 10 pen and the old Westinghouse
micarta joint. I was at Dean's last week and it is in very good condition. I
remembered that Bob sent it back to Scharger to be refinished shortly before
he retired it. Oh by the way (are you ready for this) it hits a ton.

If there was ever a Texas Billiards Hall of Fame/Collectables that cue would be in the top 10 things to find, such history and a shame its not really appreciated like it should be.
