Bobby Cotton

1924 to 1925 i'd guess by the looks of him now:eek: just kidding Cotton looks better now than he did when he was younger.

on the square i'd say 5-6 years ago, he looks the same now, perhaps a little ligheter like 5-7 pounds, but the camera might add that weight. He takes VERY good care of himself.

I bet it was more like 8-10 years ago.

nah, i looked it up 1937. They were just paving the main road in Reno at the time this was video taped. It was a very complex process to video tape events and not get the tapes dusty from the wagon trails which a covered in horse shit-similar to this post. :)

I'm going to play his fuzzy head tonight and I will ask him if he dosent see this first. I'm really getting tired of him shooting my nuts off, real tired. And he dosent have to try very hard to accomoplish that. :(

Can't wait for my copy. I love books about real road players. The real good ones were never heard of until it was too late. I wanted to be a road player when I was young, but the 18 months I spent traveling around the country was an eye opener for me. I spent more time doing part time jobs after I went broke to get to the next town or state and try again. When I found I wasn't good enough to run with the big dogs I became a BB hustler and did very well for many years. But it's not the same thing as a true road player. Johnnyt

Robert LeBlanc sharp looking gentlemen that was in a scene in Poolhall Junkies If I am not mistaken. Making 4 or 5 balls on the break....

Very good stuff.... Preordering as well.

Sometimes we might neglect the fact that this is a great forum. To see people that, you have heard stories about or admire, post here is a feat in itself.

For those that don't know him....

He is a great road player from the golden years of pool and has a great book about his adventures comming out very soon. I'm taking the liberty of making this public, I had a vote on the title here a while back.

The good news is his book is comming soon real soon. I havent read it(just a few out takes and they were great), I know for almost the past year he has worked on it dilligently and its going to be one heck of a book. Man does he have a great memory he is amazing that way. For example when we play pool together, 2 hours later we will be talking about a shot and set the balls up EXACTLY like they were, when I cant remember-but when he sets them it refreshes my mind. And he is right on the $$, man I wish I was that sharp. With a memory like that were gonna get a great glimpse into the past of one of greatest road men ever. Big $$$, guns, fights, girls, moves, and more. It isnt rated G. Its real.

Also sadly his kitty cat of 20 years passed away today, and he loved his kitty more than pool, more than anything I think. I know him well and I feel just terrible for him tonight.

Its been a tough day....

If you havent heard of him you will after this book, he posts here sometimes.

He had a cameo as himself in PHJs... Bobby Leblanc

Hey everyone, thanks for all of the comments ! Check out my web site, www.confessionsofapoolhustler.com. I laugh about some of the comments cuz I played every living human even on a bar box for many many years ! There is no point in saying what players I beat cuz it's history and that and 2 dollars will get ya a cup of coffee !:) When I was on the road I never ducked anyone, I won and lost, but I was always in action, ahhhhhh the good old days ! I think y'all will enjoy my book. I am going to write a book # 2, there are so many more stories and people I want to talk about I didn't have room in this one !

With the endorsements given you iin this thread you're bound to be winner again.

I sent my order in and am anxious to give it a read.

My sincere condolences for your loss Robert. I lost my 24/7 buddy last December and not a day goes by that I don't miss his presence. He was "only" a dog but man I love him like a son.

Kamui Tips

It was back in 2001 I walked into Robert's pool hall that he was running in Buena Park, CA. National's Sports Bar and Grill.

Robert was one of the first people that got me excited about Billiards. And if it was not for Robert's influence I don't think Kamui Tips would be here right now. Robert's enthusiasm for the game rubbed off on me and now I am passing it forward with everyone I meet.

Robert, thank you for being a great friend! Looking forward to hanging out with you in VEGAS next month.

"Confessions

Hey, thanks to every one for all the nice comments. I was lucky enough to be able to be around and to play all of the top players throughout the sixties and seventies. Great players like Buddy Hall ( the best IMO), Ronnie Allen, Wade Crane, Larry Hubbart, Jimmy Reid, Grady and thats just to name a few who I played. I felt priveliged to play them, some I beat, some heisted me, ahem Wade Crane, but he didn;t let me to the table but once in 2 sets !
