yes very true, for all crimes, the more time passes the farther the criminal can put himself away form the crime. Not just distance, they have time to change their looks, people forget(we won't for Mike), new murders or other crimes attract attention and get priority.

think about it like this, imagine some pool player we all know got shot and killed in Boston the day before the bombing , ALL Boston's resources were focused on the bombing. I bet that every murder that happened 3 days leading up to the bombing grows cold in Boston. The cops were pulled from one job to the other, That would be a interesting static to follow up on. the exception might be if the person turned himself in or murder/suicide.

it just hurts lots more when its close to home, i really feel for anyone who's direct family gets murdered. If that happened to me, i'd stop everything and search until I found the rat bastard. There would be no stopping me, i wouldnt rely on Law Enforcement alone.
 
Here is another thing that will slow down detective work. The willingness to come forward and talk about what they saw to investigators everybody will say I ain't seen sh!t.

They just need to catch a break working 17 hours sleeping 4 hours and multiple cases is nothing short of amazing.

Yeah, there's a lot of cops in the USA.
But only a limited number of them are qualified to solve murders.
Highway patrol and the meter maid are not solving murders.
You better believe manpower is an issue.

And that's not the only limited resource -
You figure Ocean Springs, Mississippi has a lab for handling DNA testing and fingerprints?
Even the most dedicated cop is stuck waiting for months on stuff like that.

Instead of criticizing the police for not doing the impossible in Surber's case,
we should be praising that they pulled it off in the Boston Marathon case.
And you're damn right that bombing got more work and attention than Mike Surber's case.
Sorry but... if I had to pick between the cops spending their limited time on one case or the other,
I'd have to say "work on the marathon bombing".

Yeah but that was well after they were on their trail and btw-the owner DID NOT see blood on the tarp-That was just more bad info.

He saw a disheveled tarp is all- He'd have to be crazy to peek in if he saw blood. At any rate the bomber didnt even have a gun at this point- A whole company opened up on him with ASSAULT Rifles- no fire being returned and still barely grazed him if that. No one in the State could shoot apparently.

Well I have had close friends that have been murdered and all because they have a photo does not mean they will be found, by crossing state lines it just makes it harder the guy can be in Canada right now and the fact that it made AMW is a huge boost the guy is just stating under the radar and avoiding certain areas.

The difference is is that Surber was a real murder unlike the actors in the Boston Marathon. People bar-b-q me all the time for saying such things but if you look at the proof its all a bunch of smoke and mirrors. A well orchestrated drill to brain-wash the citizens of America... i'm in Germany right now and EVERY single day in the news here, i'm at a international hotel so i get channels from Saudi, Dubai, Bahrain, Al Jezeria , france 24, RTL, BBC, RAI, RT, and 50+ more, i flip thru them and its impossible to see a day without bombings like Boston. Its just normal news as usual, they covered Boston here, gave the the same time as the 13 or 17 people killed that day in Iraq in 3 or 4 separate incidences. Syria gets the most screen time, but they have the highest body counts.

Its amazing to me how little news of current events makes in into America, are they keeping us stupid? for what good reason is what is available in America to see on TV always about America and in America-even during the "World News" segment. Its a joke. They treat us like they do in North Korea, "you shall watch what we approve of and nothing else"-ok thats a bit extreme. Leave America sometime for a month and pay attention to world events. you will be amazed.

I snt want to down play the Boston thing at all but they were amateurs that got caught, one died the other will get the needle in 7-10 years, case closed


Dumbing down of America is alive and well, and I dont like it, thats why i spend several months a year elsewhere. America is a very closed system.It has its advantages but it lacks many things as well.

Scary how the amputee was already a amputee years before. Oh and the fact that after any disabling injury as having your legs blown off and your still awake?? If you or any other human being had there legs blown off why are they not passed out from the pain of the event and why are they not on a stretcher and in a wheelchair??

I’ve studied and graduated EMT-B certification with the state of Oregon. I’ve been on calls with heavy arterial bleeds, internal bleeding, fatalities, DOA’s. I am speaking from direct personal experience with severe trauma.
Here is a telling photograph of the amputee actor. I encourage readers to view the photo side by side with my analysis.

If you loose both your legs from explosive trauma half your blood is gone in one minute via the femoral arteries, youre dead after two. Bleeding out is worse with blunt force trauma (like shrapnel) because flesh is torn rather than cut, exposing more arterial and vascular tissue. The human body holds 5 to 6 LITERS of blood. If that really happened you would see blood EVERYWHERE, the guy would be drenched in it. You would also see what’s called arterial spurtting from the injury. Most likely he would vomit after turning ghost white from shock, then turning delirious or passing out. As for the “tourniquet”…
Its not even tied off, its suspended via gravity, which would literally do nothing to an arterial sever. There’s no pressure applied. There’s no knott with a turn stick for leverage. You can clearly see a gap in the nonexistent wrap job on his left inner thigh (left anterior proximal for you experts) His hands have no blood on them. There’s no blood on the ground. The color in his hands and lips shows good circulation.


Its all a bunch of horseh+t fed to the masses to believe that we are victims. Did people get hurt?? Im sure of it but can you have an explosion of any sort without casalities?? the answer is no. If a bomb went off in a crowd of people dont you think that you would have more than one (already amputeed person) person missing limbs?? Come on!! Oh did you not see the cloud of smoke go straight up into the air and not blast ACROSS the street maiming everybody in its path?? Hmmmmmm

Sad state of affairs isnt it?? Funny but when I was in San Francisco I was one of the only born Amreican working in my restaurant. One of my valet guys (french) told me he use to go into cafes in France hoping he wouldnt die getting a latte due to bombings day in and day out. I was told by my German Maitre D' that if I really wanted to know what is going on in the world and america then read a foreign newspaper... Then and only then will you see what is really going on in the world and not what you are told.

I love this douche that I pointed out this Boston explosion of crap is fake he got all upset and called me Un-American!! I said... Unlike your redneck arse I see things as how they are and not as a blinded idiot to the rest of the world. America is so separated from everything else that it has caused a bubble of safety that isnt real or realistic. It has only happened recently that america has been told it isnt perfect and safe from manicas. But then again we have to win them all... If I had a nickle for every person that thought that this was a huge thing then I would spot Fatboy the 7 out and the breaks and play for his G6!!!

To go back to the main point of this thread I think that they shoud find Mike's killer adn give it national attention with all this fast state of the art socail media. I mean why not?? I think every unsolved kidnapping and murder case should be put on blast for the world to see. Hell.... Pool hustler undercover? LOL
