boweman vs. van boning in des moines on the 28th

WHAT'S THE BET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4 pages and no one know's what the bet is????

WHAT A WEEKEND!!!
Kicks off tonight with Jesse getting some back. I love SVB, but there is just something about watching a natural play, so go Jesse.

While this happens I get to watch USF knock the hell out of WV!

Then on SAT, of course there's always, COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAMEDAY!!,
Then I have the Auburn Tigers comming into Gainesville, and my GATORS looking for some payback.

Then there is Sunday, sweet Sunday, do any dang thing I want to day,

and lest us not forget DAVID DUVAL's return to golf this weekend along with the President's CUP.

I am going to need Monday off to recover.

That's because no one officially knows. Last I talked to Jess...he didn't know! Rest assured that these two can & will play for big $$$...you will not be disappointed I am sure...no $20 a game action here.

The actual bet is probably being decided right now.

I think they are playing for 2K, one thou each. This is a good game, but not super high stakes. There may be a few hundred bet on the side also. That's about it. Nothing like the high stakes games we've been hearing about on here lately. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble.

2k set seems cheap. I'm surprised a player that just came of beating Cory like that would play anymore 2k sets. And Jesse has a hell of a stake horse from I understand.

It's okay Mike. I have a feeling what you were about to say. The game may be even smaller than that. In fact, it may not happen at all. Jesse is having some problems finding a backer. Right?

no I dont think that is the problem.

Jesse is a great player but getting a stakehorse to play someone that just robbed Corey will be hard. I bet if Jesse had his own money he would play!!

just so everybody knows, both players are staked. the same day. jess had no problem getting staked. there is a chance to bet higher. people have expressed an interest in betting more on each side. this started off as an exhibtion match and had evolved to a small money match.

Grady was RIGHT........when he said that he could announce right before the finals of any major tournament that two great players were MATCHING up right afterward and that not only would no spectators leave - they would be calling their friends to come and watch.

Here we have a relatively impromptu match up between two great players and TICKETS are being sold and are SOLD out.

Yet it's hard to fill seats at tournaments. Go figure.

I had this idea 15 years ago.

The hustlers tournament. Entry fee $2400 - or $24000 - it doesn't matter.

20 players - playing a round robin where they play every other player ONE match for $100 or $1000. At the end of everyone having played the player with the most money wins the extra money as well.

The problem of course is that there will be players who are mathmatically eliminated and that will lead to dumping and collusion and yada yada.

Anyway it was just an idea - not one of my best but I'd like to see the tournament anyway :-)

One thing

every poster on here should do - If you start a thread about some player(s), look up how to spell their names properly first. If you can't find them on here by doing a 'search', just do a 'google' seach. Many times, google with offer correct spellings for something close.

Or search the players listing off the front page menu for the right name.

No one likes to have their name misspelled... including Jesse Bowman and Shane Van Boening.

www.Southernbilliards.com . They ran what was called a Non-Tournament. All it was about was players coming down to a little poolroom in Starksville Mississippi and matching up. I had a blast myself. It was actually a pretty good turn-out I thought. Something like this with top notch players would require a damn amphitheater. Hell that to me is why the Derby is so popular. Hell around where I'm from people will sit and watch 10$ pool.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen "Jessie" on this board and on the Action Report chat sessions.

I seem to be missing the part about what time I should begin checking for updates.

Any ideas?
