Bowman vs SVB

I don't care if they are playing on a picnic table the line is not even between these 2. Shane is the hands down favorite. I couldn't even imagine Jesse's friends thinking hes even money for this match.

Who are you dude? When have you seen Jesse play? Your coments are ignorant. Jesse has played shane before. He didn't just get a wild hair. Shane was a dog in this match untill the last few years and now Shane is playing much better. He might have a chance now. Please stop with the "They don't belong on the same table" nonsense. Normally people who talk like that won't bet water is wet.

They aren't ignorant comments. I'm sorry, has Jesse won any big tournaments lately? No. Has Shane? Yeah. Not only on 9-foots, but as well as bar tables. White Diamonds, and more recently this USBTC.

Yeah, he has a chance, but the line isn't even. Not even in the slightest sense. If you would like to bet even money, please do PM me and we'll set something up.

I 100% believe what I am saying. I will bet up to $1,000.00 on Shane that Bowman doesn't end up with a higher total games won at the end of the match no matter what the format is as long as they are playing even. The only way I will wager is if we post. Let me know if your interested.

Jesse doesn't play in tourneys like the USBTC for obv reasons. No equity.

And we wonder why pool doesn't get a better rep.?
The word I'm getting out here in Vegas is that Jesse works for his dad, gets paid cash under the table & doesn't play in big profile tournys because
he has "dead beat dad" issues with 2 kids from one baby's momma and 1 child from another babay's momma all looking for child support. Oh well that's the word on the street anyway.

I guess you don't believe in Jesse as much as you were wanting to portray earlier. Not to mention you said I probably wouldn't bet that waters wet, but I offered to bet a thousand with you on this match. I will leave you alone on this, but know that your bluff has been called.

You remind me of some of the players around Dallas that honestly believe that Joey Barnes is one of the very elite players in the world just because they see him play all the time and he plays better than them. Just because someone is a hometown hero doesn't mean he's capable of getting the cash when mixing it up with a world champion.

If you post on paypal, I'm your huckleberry. Long as it's at least a race to 20, you got me for 500. Post.

I would have to give SVB the edge but in a single race to 20, that is not a lock for SVB. If anybody thinks Jesse doesn't stand a prayer, they are mistaken. Both play great and can end the set in a few innings if things go right. I've watched SVB over the years and known Jesse all his life. I would probably go with SVB but I don't feel it is a totally safe bet.

This makes more sense. Had you said this before you never would have gotten a reply from me. I was responding to the "They dont belong on the same table" garbage.

That is way different than "I wana bet shane wins more games".

When I find out what the specifics are on the match, I will be betting. So sar I think Jesse is getting 3 games going to 30 but not sure.

This is from the other live stream thread,,,,

•• $5K 9-Ball Winner Take All, Alternate Breaks, Races to 20, best 2 out of 3, with Jesse getting 3 on the wire on a 7' Valley Bar Box

There u go with more stupidity. I wont give you back the weight that is already built into the match, Plus the bonus games offered in the action room, so I must not beleive in him. LOL!!!!!!

From What I see in the action room the line is Jeese +4 +120 or Jeese +5 even. Why would I bet any different than that?

lol, Jmurphy is an obvious d-bag. this has nothing to do with the game. go be a d-bag somewhere else instead of spreading rumors which may or may not be true.

As a matter of fact i dont know Jesse well, but the last time i seen him was in st.louis and he had one of his boys with him at the pool tournament. most kids would love to get to travel with daddy to a pool tournament.

anyway im rootin for jesse!

Do you even understand the definition of equity? I'm pretty sure 40+ buyins for 1st in an event is pretty solid ROI.

Ahh, No. It's not. If your travel expenses were free it would be though.

For example JJ staked Larry Nevel in the USBTC. The total bill was $1900.00 which included air fare, all the entries, food, hotels, etc. Larry won the 2nd chance in 10ball ($395), got 33rd in 9ball($150.00) and 9th-12th i think in 8ball ($450). He is stuck almost 1K. Larry is a great player but if he did this 100 times in a row, I bet this finish would be close to average given the feild.

Example #2: Cory got 2nd in 10ball and unless he was a super nit on food and such, he went home even.

These Tournaments you risk $2k (unless you are sponsored) and the best you could do is get like 3 to 1 on your money. All you have to do to win 3x is crush the world for 10 days straight. LOL

I understand that, to an extent. Sure, Larry is great, but he's not any of the top pros, who DO make a profit from these events. I was just blasting your point about how great Jesse is and how he doesn't attend major events because of "equity."

Hotel at the venue - $50/night (6 nights = $300)
Food = For 6 days? $30/day = $180
Flight back to ... Florida (for Corey Deuel) = $150-200

He made almost $4,000 from just 10-ball. That's ~$4,000 - 300 - 180 - 200 = $3,320 ... I don't think he's complaining about that. That's still ~28-30 buyins. This is a standard

I guess it really depends on if you live close to venues and how far away you are from international airports that can fly you places for cheap. (ie. Southwest for $59).

If Jesse was that amazing, he'd be out there doing those things. I'm just pointing that clearly SVB is the favorite here. In any game on any table against him.

Well if you know Jesse "well" then your comment that what I had to say "may or may not be true" is nonsense because you would already know the truth to my claim.
And to your point that this has nothing to do with this match is also false. If Jesse is avoiding playing in high profile tournys. he missing out on 100s of matches with top players putting the heat on him keeping his game at top speed under pressure
and that can be huge in a match with someone like SVB (who has shown he excels under these conditions)
