SW cue ????????????????????????????

What Are You Smoking .......... I Want Some..........you Are $1000.00 To High On A Good Day

if you lower the price by $1000 you might just sell it to someone who thinks they are still bringing $2300.

For that money, I have a nice $1600 Blackcreek that I will let go for $3000 if anyone is interested......:D

Russ..........

Monarch Billiards seems like a place we might want to avoid in the future. This new poster seems to underestimate the knowledge and experience of this forum. Not a good way to advertise your business. Its an insult to ask that kind of price for that cue.

While I don't think that the cost has gone up quite that high, be advised that Southwest is no longer honoring the prices quoted when the cues were initially ordered 7-9 years ago. Laurie emailed me not too long ago to let me know that the ones I had on order would go at market price when they are made.

Hi Joe,
We are at the end of 1989 right now. I will call you about 6 months ahead of delivery to confirm woods, designs & give a firm price. We are forced to make price adjustments on orders. I won't know how much until we get there. Obviously you have the option of saying yes or no. Tried to avoid this for many years but it just can't be avoided now.

Thanks for your patience.

Best regards, Laurie Franklin

I don't think Southwest went up very much, $100 over a nine year wait.
Not bad at all. The wait was bad, but the $100 was ok. Rest of the money was for extras. Casey

I also ordered one in 97 and just received it last month. I called Laurie last year to see where we were and was told about the increase. It amounted to about $100 roughly if my memory serves me right. I gave $1290 shipped and was offered $2200. It amazes me that people will pay premium dollar for these cues but the law of supply and demand dictates what they are worth. Laurie is the one getting screwed if you ask me. While I love the design I would never pay that much for this cue. I would however spend upwards of $1000 for a James White sneaky and to some that is insane. Bottom line is if you like the cue and can afford it then buy it and be happy. If not then don't. Just my 2 cents worth.

Nice Looking cue. I love the color combo.

A bit of friendly advice would be to do a search for unchalked Southwests and see what other board members have been getting for theirs before you decide to post yours. If the number you had in mind isn't within a hundred or 2 of the comparable cues you would probably be better off to post without a price and have people PM you. It would prevent the negitive nature that your thread has assumed. They are a tough but mostly amiable bunch here on A-Z:D .

Welcome to the Forum and great pics by the way.

So any cue being made and sold now will be at this ridiculous market price of $3300? I will now put my SW up for sale at $6000. I will have a shill buy it and there will not really be a transaction but it will set a new market price of $6000 and the 9 year wait will shorten in a hurry.
