I met Brandon Shuff this weekend, at the $4000.00 added Bert Kellerman Tournament in Denver. Brandon won the tournament undefeated in a tough field of 64-players. He has friends here in Denver, and flew out to play in the tournament. I think he is a very good young pro player, very dedicated, and will be someone to pay attention to in the future.

I was really impressed with Brandon, his approach to the game, he also seems to be the type that helps other players improve their game, so I decided to give him some publicity on AZB. He seems to be a real asset to the game, and helps other players to learn more about pool. Last year I went to Las Vegas to play in the VNEA team tournament, and I played on a team that included the guy that brought him out here to play this weekend. Brandon definitely has some nice friends.

I must say he is a good guy and great player. I am glad to hear that he won the event. He works hard and deserves it.

Great guy, I have seen him at All-Star Billiards in Frederick,MD on occasional Saturdays for their tourney they have. Definitly has a good attitude.

Hey Masonh

Like JAM said, he is one of the new "young guns". When you talk to him about pool tournaments, players, cues, you can tell he has a great respect & passion for the game. He also gets a lot of support from his sponser, Bill Dominiak.

What kind of spot did he give you?:D
 
Brandon is a great player.

A few years ago he came up and asked me to play and I didn't know who he was.

We played $20 a game 9 ball on a 4 x 8 w/ buckets (to my advantage). He kept me stuck 4 games for about 30-40 minutes and I quit. Had I known who he was I probably would have dogged it more, LOL.

He is a great up and coming player!

HE has gotten a bit better on a couple of shots. Maybe.

I have girl(s) too!
 
Oh yeah....I wouldn't have played him even AT ALL if I had known who he was...LOL. I probably played a bit better since I didn't have that pressure of knowing his reputation...but still 4 games stuck, and couldn't fight back to save my life.

Now.....I want no part of that guy. I would try him with the break and ball in hand after break, wild 6, 7, 8 though. Hows that for courage?

I made him aware of the fact that I am a VNEA-9, and that I won top shooter in bar box 8-ball. He knew better than to play me for money. :D

I've got a chewed up wooden nickel in my pocket that is just dying to get pulled out for a game or two with you!

I might even be able to find some of the stupid dollar things from Derby City.... lol

I'm still amazed at how fast you shot up the ranks out there once you decided to shoot....... that's impressive!
