Break & Run by RunOut Media is AWESOME!

...both have mics on and must talk about the positon the other left and what they are going to shoot and how(shooting the CB).

There's actually an entire hour on disc 3 dedicated to exactly this. All 13 players participate and talk their way through the racks live via wireless mics. :)

Just watched Disc 1, definitely worth watching. I enjoyed the section by Rodney the most (except for him saying "very important" after each piece of advice), he talked about some standard fundamental topics but with a pro spin, some interesting stuff.

The sections by Raj and Alex were well done and well presented, just nothing new for me at least. Still didn't hurt to watch and reinforce some concepts.

Just like the Mastering Pool series, the video is top notch and well produced. My only complaint is that it would have been nice to have everything on a full size table, but so far at least it hasn't detracted from the concepts presented. Am looking forward to watching the rest when I have time.

I finished watched the box set last night... the break 'n' run outs were a lot of fun - as were the bloopers. The breaking/racking tips were nice, but I'm not sure they warrant an entire disc, since the info seems to be repeated a lot. I guess I've just read too much stuff, almost nothing was entirely new, but it is certainly nice to have the reinforcement and to get the pro-tips.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Would I recommend the price? For me, personally, I don't feel like it was worth $30/disc. Maybe $20/disc... but then I read a lot of stuff all over the place.

So for the "average" player who doesn't waste tons of hours searching through the mountains of crap to find the gems of info, this is well worth the cost. :)

Love the quality of the production, as I did with the Mastering Pool series and the Venom disc.

I agree Scott. A 9 footer would have been better.

I agree that a 9 foot would have been preferrable, but I don't feel like it detracted from the experience. Given the line up of players teaching and demonstrating, their inherent credibility was such that I would have accepted what they were showing regardless of the table.

I agree with you as well.

ordered over a week ago, no notice of shipment yet :(

An automatic email that outlines shipping times and such follows every purchase. Perhaps it got caught in your spam filter?

Anyway, I actually crossed the border into the USA and mailed the last bundle of orders, so if you're American, I'd expect your DVD to arrive on Monday (if it hasn't already). Oddly enough, its the local Canadian postal service that's been causing trouble lately.

WORLD CLASS DVD SET,,THE BEST PRODUCTIONS IN POOL BAR NONE !!!

Thank you sir! Comments like this inspire me to stay motivated on new projects. One of which I've been working on a for a few weeks, and will be done this weekend. It's a surprise...but it won't stay that way for long. :)

I also wanted to use a full size table, but sadly an extra one was unavailable at the Open when we filmed it last year. What I do like about having the smaller table though, is that it really shows how and why adjustments need to be made. Since the DVD focuses on how to make those adjustments (especially on the break), the smaller table forced the players to consciously make the adjustments, and in turn helped convey the information a little bit better.

All in all, the DVD set is far from perfect. I know nothing will ever be exactly how I want it to be, but for the first time I'm actually really pleased with the result.

Thanks again everyone!

I got my Break & Run DVD set last week and it's great, lots of good information and great quality. Thanks again for the product Nathan.

It is worth the price to watch Earl break and run a rack using that telephone pole length cue on a 7 ft table. If he had a rail shot the butt end would have to be across the table next to it.

LOL, theBook.

And thank you for supporting my efforts. I'm really pleased to see how well everyone has responded to this project.

I was so busy concentrating on filming at the time that I never even noticed this. I just re-watched the segment with this in mind, and man.... it doesn't even make sense. The cue is literally as long as the table.

Just ordered a copy. I have no idea why it took me so long LOL.

Came in the mail last week. Watched the whole set twice so far.

Pretty much every bit of information in this DVD set is valuable. The pros talking through a run out was epic. Them just thinking out loud. Why they are shooting a shot a particular way, why they didnt attempt position a certain way. Incredibly valuable. All seemed like having personal instruction from multiple different pros.

The breaking advice and how to adjust was great. Similar advice to Racking Secrets but seemed to be presented better.

Easily the best instructional DVD I have seen. Perfect for advanced player instruction for what it was intended. Worth every penny.

I agree it's a great DVD set. My only quibble is that I'm not sure you perfectly matched the players and disciplines taught. Mika's break has always been perhaps the weakest part of his game. And I don't know if I'd have chosen Rodney for fundamentals. But still, they know more about these things than 99.99999999% of the rest of us, so thanks for the DVD's. Great job.

Can't wait.

Hey guys im from Canada, near Toronto. I ordered on nov. 24th, and currently it's December 6, and I haven't got the DVD yet...I am sonanxious waiting for this to arrive. Could it be that mail is slower cbecause of Christmas or can there be other reasons? I've called and left messages, emailed runout media 3-4'times each, but no reply. Any ideas?
