I watched 6 of the Johnny Archer Classic 10-ball matches streamed by Inside Pool. The conditions for this event included: 9-foot Olhausen table, Championship Tour Edition cloth, plastic triangle rack, winner breaks, winner racks, call shots, and jump cues allowed.

The 6 matches (86 games) I watched were as follows:

Sat., Oct. 13 -- Daulton def. Van Boening 9-6 and Lombardo d. Deuel 9-3.

Sun., Oct. 14 -- Daulton d. Lombardo 9-7, Kiamco d. Pinegar 9-6, Van Boening d. Pinegar 9-7, and Kiamco d. Van Boening 11-3. [Note: I did not see the first game of the first and third matches on Sunday, so the stats are for a total of 86 games instead of 88.]

Overall results -- The breaker made at least one ball (and did not foul) 58% of the time (50 of 86), won 58% of the games (50 of 86), and broke and ran 22% of the games (19 of 86).

Thirteen of the 19 B&R games were in the two matches involving Pinegar. The B&R percentage in those two matches was 43%, whereas it was only 11% in the other four matches combined.

Here's a more detailed breakdown of the 86 games.

Breaker made at least one ball and did not foul:
Breaker won the game: 34 (40% of the 86 games)
Breaker lost the game: 16 (19%)

Breaker fouled on the break:
Breaker won the game: 4 (5%)
Breaker lost the game: 6 (7%)

Breaker broke dry (without fouling):
Breaker won the game: 12 (14%)
Breaker lost the game: 14 (16%)

Therefore, whereas the breaker won 58% (50) of all 86 games,
He won 68% (34 of 50) of the games in which he made at least one ball on the break and did not foul.
He won 40% (4 of 10) of the games in which he fouled on the break.
He won 46% (12 of 26) of the games in which he broke dry but did not foul.
He won 44% (16 of 36) of the games in which he either fouled on the break or broke dry without fouling.

...

Thanks for the stats. Were all the matches you clocked on one table?

Witnesseth!

People are really just out to get him, aren't they?:slap:

But just to be clear... pinegar broke and ran 13 of the 19? Or he was the victim 13 out of 19 times? Or a mix of both?

I feel a little better about my 10 ball break after reading this.

In the 15 games of the Kiamco/Pinegar match:
Kiamco had 3 B&R's in 8 breaks -- all singletons
Pinegar had 4 B&R's in 7 breaks -- 1 singleton and a 3-pack

In the last 15 games (I missed the first game) of the 16-game Van Boening/Pinegar match:
Van Boening had 3 B&R's in 8 breaks -- 1 singleton and a 2-pack
Pinegar had 3 B&R's in 7 breaks -- 1 singleton and a 2-pack

So, 13 B&R's out of 30 games = 43%. (Note -- this includes Pinegar's 7 out of 14 for 50% -- and he lost both matches!).

Edit: the 19 B&R number mentioned in post #1 was the total for all 6 matches, not just the Pinegar matches.
