If I was a top rotation player today I would have a small portable humidity and temp monitor as close to the table as possible. The break is the only shot that you need to adjust for as the humidity rises or falls around the table. Better yet tables should come with a humidity monitor built right into the table. I know most will think i'm anal about this but there is a huge difference going from 45% humidity to 55% or 60%. Johnnyt

The higher the humidity the shorter the angles the balls play off the rails. Balls also don't break apart like they do with the lower humidity. There is a lot you can adjust if you know which way the humidity is going. Johnnyt

How much variance before you see a significant difference in the angles?

So you're actually planning to bank a specific ball in on your break? Remind me not to gamble with you . . . ;)

One shot that won't go (esp on a Diamond) on a humid table is the 2 and 3 balls three rails in the corner pockets from where your breaking from. The rack opens slower and everything is still clustered around the rack area so the 2 and 3 will almost always collide with someting. Even if one of the balls manages to get through it won't go in the pocket as it will be coming off the rails too short. Johnnyt
