BREAKING NEWS: IPT Announces 150 Players

Ask him if he remember's the kid who used to give him a lift to Harry P. Cues a couple times a week when his caddy wasn't runnin' back in the late 80's. Any idea when the breaking point will actually be open? Hope your both doing well.
That new avatar rocks!

I asked him and he remembers you bringing in pizzas and breadsticks with marinara. He also remembers you from Nardo's, but I don't remember, but I probably will once I see you. He is always at Harvey's during the day.

BP is now called Uncle Jack's Billiards & Cafe, owned by Shari and Kevin Ross that used to work there. I will give you Todd's number if you need it.

Are you going to be going to the IPT tour stops? We are both so excited, we can hardly sleep! I think we are the only other husband/wife team selected besides Loree Jon and Sammy. I would have thought Jeanette and George would have made it. Jeanette might have been recovered by the end of Nov.

The actual payouts are not posted yet. Keep checking the IPT website. The 1st place prize is posted and it's a BIGGIE. Put it this way. If you win one of these IPT Events the 200,000 1st place prize may pale to the amount of money one may get from future endorsements.

Re: Ted

Well I am glad that you liked my story about playing in the Jungle back in Trenton N.J. but I must say on a more serious note that I will not be waiting in line for Mike Sigel to pick me for his precious eight ball tour. I can tell you another story about Mike Sigel, back in 97 after he had just retired I was at a trade show in Las Vegas, a young man came up to my sponsor's booth (Tom's Q Stix) and asked me to sign his case, as I proceeded to sign my name he asked if I knew Mike Sigel. He went on to tell me that he had all of the champions sign his case except Sigel, when I asked why Sigel signature was not on his case the young man said that Mike would not sign the case. He went on to say that Mike was charging $5.00 for every autograph, this young fellow was under 12 yrs. old and thought that Mike did not like him. I assured him that this was not the case and Tom Madsen suggested that I approach Mike about this issue, so we walked up to Mike's booth and there were many people listening to Mike talking about his titles and his cue that were going to be in production. I then asked Mike in a nice way to sign the young boy's case and Mike said he would for $5.00, I said "'cmon' Mike he just want's your autograph would you sign his case for me?" Mike apologized and said no, I was appalled and told the young man that he did'nt want Mike signature anyway loud enough where mike and all of the peanut gallery could hear. The fans did see what happened and as a result began to disperse, talk about having no ball's, my respect for Mike has never been the same. If your wondering whether or not I'm just blowing off some steam cause I did not make the cut - well then maybe I am but this is a true story and I saw it go down with my own two eyes. I wish I could thank the IPT for not letting me play cause there is a reason and a season for everything and I am supposed to be preparing for my future right now instead of playing on a fleeting attempt of some sort of tour. In closing I will say that there is a major problem in Men's professional pool today and I don't think that Kevin Tredough has a natural cure for it.
Good Day, Danny Harriman

I dont like Mike's policy on this but i think you were out of line putting him on the spot like that. Better to whisper Here mike sign this- ill pay you the 5 later. Maybe he wouldnt even take it.

Danny,

I am sorry that you were not chosen. In the hopes of clarification, Mike Sigel had absolutely nothing to do with the selection process whatsoever. He did not ever see any of the applications, the list, potentials, etc. In fact, even he had to fill out an application when the process started. I think charging money for an autograph is silly and incredibly nitty. But please don't hold your not being on the 150 list against Mike Sigel because he was completely out of the process.

It's kinda funny, when this tour started it crapped all over event dates.

Lots of folks said that Kevin Trudeau would shaft the players
how bad this was going to be for pool, then they had the flag wavers
for pool saying that KT was going to save pool.

I'm just saying here we are 7 years later, 7 years later and there
is finally a new tour, and the naysayers and the flag wavers are back.

I am glad there is passion for pool, but what I really am feeling sick
about is the Canadian bashing, I thought it was meant in jest, but after
reading a few threads and gettings some emails, I can see that they are very sad comments, and I hope they stop.

Anyway we all have been down this road before, but it had been 7 years
since pro pool players have had this type of chance of building a bank
account.

I'm not taking an emotional side as it does not effect my personal life.

I feel bad for Greg, but he has such great event's, more
people will come, (as they will think with not as many pro's they
might have a chance and place in the money).

Just my 2 cents.

It was me that was bringing up Canada's name in the threads, Mrs. G. I did it, nobody else.

In doing so, I created a dialogue about other topics. I have no disdain for Canadians whatsoever. I did use them, however, to bring attention to the Bonus Ball thread. For that, I am guilty.

I should just pour my money into websites for Mike Surber, donate to BEF funds, contribute to pool player's expenses to shoot overseas, and forget having an opinion about anything else.

I'll let you decide what my intentions are as they pertain to pool.

Wow you really have to be kidding, throwing Mike at me, wow, what a horrible thing to do.
I miss him every day and you have no clue on the terrible impact it had on Clay
but for you to bring this up as a threat, it just's sick.

FOR what it is worth, I am done posting on this site, Clay can but I won't.
You really are a mean person.

There is an invitational event happening November 30-December 4, 2005 which will have 43 IPT members, 10 of which are CONFIRMED Hall of Famers.

The total prize purse for EACH upcoming tournament is: $1 MILLION

First place will pay out $200,000.

Wow, it doesn't get any better than this!

I hate to be "Negative Nathan" here but where will the million dollar prize fund be generated from?

History is cool, it was always my favorite subject!
