I think it has less to do with 'snobbery' and more to do with the fact that the movie was terrible, the acting was worse, and the pool (the reason anyone here would watch it) was also horrific.

Yes, that movie was basically a few good scenes mixed in with a bunch of other not good scenes rather than a movie as a whole. If Walken was not in the movie, I probably would never have watched it more than once. Pretty much all the good parts were him.

I liked it too!! There is some great stuff in there along with some goofy shit! (the buy your shot no, that was your shot now I am taking my shot thing at the end lol)

FWIW this is something I have noticed about people heavily involved in niche activities: (car scene people, pool scene people, craft beer scene people, the big beard scene folks, locavore scene folks etc............) is they tend to take themselves and their activities TO DAMN SERIOUSLY! So much so that they often have a hard time just watching a show or movie involving the activity and enjoying it for what it is. Instead they rip it apart. Kind of sad really. People it is a show, it ain't always gonna be %100 perfect.

Looking forward to this show for sure and hoping it takes off. Who knows, maybe Mikey Frost will be the next Richard Rawlins:D

Is the clip up on YouTube or Vimeo? I'm excited about the series, but would be nice to see the real clip somewhere. I mean, not a recording of a monitor playing the clip. :) In any case, I hope the series takes off and gets extended!
 
Does anyone know if any of the other reality shows that were/are in development are still set to air? For example, "She Sharks", "King of Cue", "Ultimate Pool Sharks", etc.?

It' has nothing to do with the negativity infact in the last 30yrs pools never been seen in a better light with all the leagues in upscale pool in sports bars and even junior leages that were nonexistent before for then
However pool like golf and bowling are faltering because the average time a father stays at home on weekends and getting involved in sports or interests thier kids are doing is up astronomically , , kids no longer tag alongs in thier fathers itreats it's the other way around
This trend is highly unlikely to change , it's not negativity it's reality that's keeping pool down

Is the show still going to premier? I went to set my dvr and my att uverse listings have Impractical Jokers on all night on TruTV on May 4th.
 
Yeah that's what mine says too. I'm leaving for Vegas tomorrow morning to play pool at the Riviera and I wanted to set my DVR.
 
not listed in my market on Time Warner cable, instead it is Impractical Jokers.
 
I'll see if I can get some kind of official verification because they do seem to have published two different air dates, the 4th and the 6th....
