First I saw them were on a Timmy Scruggs cue. At least bridged as we know it today.

Tim Scruggs said that he thought he was the first but was not sure. I will ask next time I talk to him.

That's what Thomas Wayne thought as well. I would like to see some pics of TS cues, if anyone has some. I'm not big on the look but I always appreciate the work.

I think he is talking about how the points are joined at the base like in this cue...

I originally heard them as "Chicago Style" points, but I have no idea why. Truly my favorite style of point work.
