i had every intention of offering a Blue Light Special today
i went to Michaels poolhall lastnite to give it a test drive.
Damnest thing happened.
The cue never made it out of there.
Brunswick 26 & a half conversion just completed.
it's roughly 90 years old , i think they quit building them around 1920.
wasnt the greatest blank, had a couple veneer flaws in it.
so i figured i'd just do one shaft, no joint protectors , no bells & whistles, and price it accordingly.
let a couple guys hit with it, Brian Allen & Larry. 3rd guy, Dave comes over to join the party. he hit with it, said give me a half hour to run to bank & back, be right back.

Nice work, Brent. It amazes me to think that when these cues were first being produced, the factories didn't even have electricity.

Great...NOW I see that there is curly maple in the forearm. Thank you, for not telling me that...Otherwise I might have bought it myself, and suffered a severe beating from the Mrs. :eek: ;)

Just incredible work.

I actually prefer the simpler cues.

I can always tell when someone orders their first "custom" cue. They typically load it up with inlays, bells and whistles. The result usually is something that takes away instead of enhances the cue.
