Found out more info on the cue. These are the same color veneers as the Ralph Greenleaf model. Brunswick started using them on there BBC 26 1/2 cues without Greenleaf's signature. He later sued them over that. Then Brunswick changed to the more traditional titlist colors around 1914-ish.
I believe my cue is circa 1910.
Can anyone else confirm this???
Nice cue - I'm very jealous - I've had my eye out for one with an ebony tipped shaft like that. I really like the look.
I'd like to see some evidence of Greenleaf allegedly suing Brunswick over the cue. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around that one. Keep in mind that Ralph was born in 1899, so he certainly didnt sue anyone prior to 1915
Right, I hear you. Still trying to put the story together. He did sue Brunswick though.

The Greenleaf two piece is black, red, brown, white, I think there is a 6 month or old so post with a pic of one.
Brunswick had some primary color schemes that pop up once in a white. Yours looks like orange, purple, white. Its definitely one of their better choices and its amazing how well that cue has held up.

good photo's, and 20 oz is like the icing on a cake.
i'll bet it plays, will you leave cue wrapless?
Yes, he did sue Brunswick, but it had nothing to do with a cue.
I am not aware of any lawsuit over a cue. If there was one, I'd sure love to see it.
As a matter of fact, the existence of " Greenleaf cues" at all is still suspect as far as i'm concerned.
As you wish, dear sir.
You can join me here, though I must say that I don't usually do this for free...: http://vwc.state.va.us/content/judicial-opinion-search

Exactly. Rare cue, destroyed.
I know this is an old thread, but doing some searches on antique Balke-Collenders, atthecat keeps coming up. It's cruel irony that this guy keeps running across such amazing historically significant cues, and then destroys them.
