Gold Crown

This is a very nice Gold Crown. It's all original, and the white powdercoating is very striking. It's nice to see the pic of Chub and Willie again. That's Barney LaMontagne in the poster in the background. Been awhile since that picture was taken:)

Holy shit! You've been a member for 5 years and this is your first post! Lol! Nice table.

BEAUTIFUL TABLE!!! I own a GC II as well. I have never seen one with white powder coating like that before, looks very cool!

This would be a great table for someone to own!

Not a buyer as I have the same table.

Just curious if the wood is actually "Powder Coated" or just painted.

From what I understand, powder coating on wood can be done, but is super expensive.

Thanks so much!

Russ...

Russ; First all the metal was powder coated and the wood/plastic was then lacquered to match. This was done by TWO different people (businesses) in our area. I must say they did a beautiful job.

The table does play great, but we are planning to downsize and don't want to have to store the table. The funny thing is, that we had the carpet feet powder coated on the "up" side so we had to put a silicon pad between the table foot and the carpet foot so it dosen't slide. Simple but effective fix.

If this table could talk...it would have some great stories to tell. Chub, my late father-in-law played many of the big names of his time on this table.

That's a great set-up, as nice as Russ's. Good luck with the sale of that primo piece of equipment.

PoolHustler:

Nice job. I really liiike the Gold Crown, the new Diamonds are nice, but the "classic" GC is my choice--of course it could be because I own one :D

All original...meaning all the rubber is original and still in excellent shape. Yep, we did "re-finish" by doing the powder coating and lacquer for looks sake only. Thanks for looking and the nice comments. Still needs a good home, someone who loves a nice table.

Happy Memorial Day!

Lots of nice Diamond 9 footers available today, not that many nice Gold Crowns. If you're on the west coast and looking, trust me, this is a VERY nice Gold Crown. It's definately worth a look.

That's a beautiful table (and light), no doubt. But in today's market the high end on a Gold Crown is about $3,000 and that's usually for a Black Crown IV. You can buy a Gold Crown V for $5,000. I've bought and sold over 50 tables, mostly Gold Crowns, in the last couple of years. I wish I could tell you different, but I can't. Your best bet may be to put it on eBay. Strange things happen on there. If two guys get in a bidding war, it may go over $4,000. Of course fleabay takes their commission off the top. About 5%.
