Brunswick rails (new sub-rails)

No doubt you can, but I sure hoped you wouldn't do that....I just gotten a set of 10 billiard rails...the rails were pieced together about 2 years ago...and yes they are coming apart.

I have yet to have a sub-rail come apart....do the full sub-rail, and forget about it.

Save the bondo for my porch..LOL

Well buddy...I don't think we can out do each other rebuilding rails and making tables play right....so, how about refinishing rails?:D

Here's a few pictures of a Diamond Professional Cherry wood rails I refinished not to long ago.

Mark ,you did the rails on my GC3 and I have to say I would not trade that table with those rails for any table out there. Once I get moved into my new place all the way I will post up some pictures .

Did you miss my last post Mark...or chicken out buddy:D

No, one thing I won't do is chicken out...my refinish jobs are awesome, your's are good..I'm not going to show any work like that because if John Burns (Classic Billiards) shows work on how it's done right...well let's just say...we will never again post a refinish job....EVER.

Stick to trying to out do me with rail work...you got a chance. LOL

Your buddy

Well....all I can say is...tell John to post up buddy...unless HE'S chicken:D Just thought I'd add that I know John's not chicken, as I know for a fact that he does some of the best refinishing work on the planet....so, John don't need to post....but YOU on the other hand Mark...anyone that has a complete productions shop full of tools on a second floor apartment...well, you might just be a RED NECK buddy:D

John aka (scruffy1) e-mails pic's to me sometime....man you wouldn't believe the work they put out....40k-50k tables...the tables are flawless..truly awesome.

I wish that I could turn out the quality refinish work like they do...WOW
I just seen pic's of a GC1 totally refinished...unreal...I would love to have one...AWESOME.

This is not competition for everyone's work.....just your work on sub-rails and mine.
You're running a close second....oh shit...there's only 2 of us in the contest...sorry. :o

Have a nice day :p

I'll vouch for Mark Gregory and day of the week....

Mark "The Master" Gregory, just finished 12 Gold Crown 3's for my room in Syracuse NY. Every person that has played on them walks away with their jaws on the floor. We hear comments like "best table I've ever played on" all the time. And not from the ball bangers, from the players. The guys who have been playing for longer than I've been alive. Any one out there who needs to check references, give me a call.

In my honest opinion, doing one table great is impressive. Doing 12 that invoke comments like "the best table I've ever played on".........priceless.

In case anyone is wondering, here is a definition of Master:

1 having or showing very great skill or proficiency : a master painter.
• denoting a person skilled in a particular trade and able to teach others

Shane, thank you for the kind words...your room's absolutely gorgeous..and you were a super awesome guy to work for.

(Shane shipped the rails to me in Ga.)

I built a completely new sub-rail on all (12) GC3 Brunswick tables...with artemis cushions...4.5 corner pockets.

Shane cut no corners on the expense of the tables or the room...you can see that in the pics.

Shane anytime I can help you in any way...I'm a phone call away.
Great to have met & worked for you...Best of Luck with the room.

Respectfully

Mark Gregory

I told you Mark would do your rails right, great job on the room Shane...Dickie's in trouble if he hasn't figured it out already with his room near you:grin:

Why dont you two just retire, and put on the nice clothes yall had on in the video and just go around doing clinics and share the deepest darkest secrets of table work. If there was a hall of fame for table mechs you two would be the first on the lists. Just who would be the one listed first? You guys are 2nd to none and there are more mechanics on this forum that are following in yall's footsteps.

I know you guys are just barking though!!

I really would like to move to New York, there are some really nice rooms there!!

Do NOT move to NY

Great place to be from. Great place to visit. Average annual snow fall I think is somewhere around 180"!

I agree about the hall of famers, King Cobra and Mark "The Mongoose" Gregory. Big shadows and huge shoes to fill.

You catch Mark around his house working....he DON'T even wear shoes...unless the stores he's going into clearly say, "no shirts, no shoes, no service":rotflmao1:

Sorry, that was Jay in the video with Glen...not me....I'M IN MY PRIME! We're both trying to pass on the knowledge to all of the up and coming.

Before you know it, you will be passing it on as well, a lot of different ways of doing things today, than when I was learning.

Most importantly...learn from your mistakes...and don't fear making them..we all still make mistakes.

You'll be a great table mechanic if you want to become one...just pay attention to details on the tables.

Best of Luck

Mark Gregory
