Buddy Hall

hope buddy does go to the u s open ,i hope he is feeling good and also plays good. jay btw what is your best finish in the us open and the year

I won it six times!
I never played in the Open! I have never felt like I belonged in the elite group of top players. I was never much of a tournament player anyway.

I think Buddy is in Metropolis still, he did go to PA for a little while, but believe he is back. Plays a little one hole with the locals and a ring 9 ball game a few times a week. At least that was what he was doing a while back.

He is supposed to be coming to the U.S. Open this year.

This is good news especially since he's missed the last couple of Opens........I've always enjoyed watching Buddy play and maybe he'll sit in with Accu-stats on a match or two. He's always been one of my favorite commentators. Maybe we should send Pat Fleming an email and suggest getting Buddy to do a couple of matches......

Buddy and I were going to work together in Galveston doing commentary and I regretted that at the last minute, Buddy's brother became extremely ill and so he stayed home to be with his brother.

I would probably drive to the U.S. Open just to do commentary with Buddy. He is one of my favorite commentators, a great player and a favorite of the fans.

That's a good idea you've got James.

When you send the note to Pat fleming, you can suggest that JoeyA and Buddy working together, would be a good combination for the Accu-Stats Production.

Buddy is coming to the US OPEN!!!!

Hi gang!

Barry talked to Buddy a few weeks ago and Buddy told him he had lost some considerable weight, was feeling good and was coming to the Open!

I was soooo happy to hear that.

Will be good the see "The Rifleman" shooting them down at the US Open.

You guys better get yourselves to the Open this year.

With the inclusion of women in the event as well as many former men and women US Open Champions coming to play, the BCA HOF Dinner as well as this being the 35th US Open, it will not be an event to miss!!!!

Hope to see you all there!

current update

A little second hand info from somebody that talked to Buddy on the phone this morning:

Buddy is coming to the US Open.

He is playing golf every day and losing a little weight.

That is all I have but the news does sound very positive. Hopefully Buddy will be in the booth some and it would be nice for him and JoeyA to work together. I think their styles would complement each other's.

I saw Buddy at Chester's here in OKC a couple of months ago. He was looking a lot better than the last time he was here and moving well. It did look like he'd lost some weight. And he said he felt a lot better. He played some of the locals $20 sets in 9 ball and hung out a couple days. He still has that effortless stroke. As always he was the perfect gentleman and offered great tips and advice when asked.

Buddy Hall is such a fine example of a GREAT player. I hope he wins the Open this year.

That's great to hear Buddy is doing better. IIRC he was in a wheel chair recently, but I may be mistaken. Regardless, he's feeling US Open worthy! Could you imagine the following if he went deep? Ok, fantasize this final match, going hill-hill for the Behrman goods!

Buddy vs Jasmin

Bring it Buddy!

(this Open WILL absolutely be the one, if ever there was just one, to be at. I'll be the one with the T-shirt saying "I told 'em!" ;) )

This Danny D's Action and he deserves it! Maybe Danny and Buddy together/ No offense Joey!

Good to hear he's losing weight because it was bound to take a toll on his health- that and the smoking
