I just got a BarBox for my patio. For a floresent light, what would I need? Will a 2 tube 4 foot work with a wood box around it. Thank you. Johnnyt
 
I have a two tube 4' shop light above my 9' table and it works pretty good - no custom box around it, I just hung it the way it came from the store. I chose one that seemed to have a wider "spread" (the bulbs are farther apart than some of the other models). On my table it doesn't quite light the end rails as well as I'd like, but I'm thinking it would work much better on a 7' table.

There are many table lights for sale on Fleabay. I had one ship to my daughter. It was a while ago. I think the guys user name was Cigarman.
It was brand new and less than $100.
For that matter I am sure someone here has them.
I perfer incandesant light to flouresant.

I'm happy for you Johnny, I hope you enjoy your new table.

I got one of the 3 fixture lights off eBay and I use the little swirly flourescent lights in it and it lights my 8' table really well. I think I gave about 130 for mine.

Thanks Ktown. I think the wife is going to spring for one. That's what one of my daughters said anyhow. I'll just leave the flashlight taped to my cue and wear my miners hat for a few more days and see if Santa comes early. Johnnyt
 
I think a 4' shop light, 2 bulbs, will work fine and they cost about $20 or less. Hell... get two!! :groucho:

That's what my plan was. Now I'm going to wait a day or two to see if the wife springs for a better one:grin: . Johnnyt

Your idea is much better than coleman lanterns on each corner. lol I like the way that 27 looks as well. Good choice and good shootin'

That is what I have over my 9'er. Works fine, though it is in a room that doesn't have too much (outside) light. I was happy to only spend $30.
