Built-in Extension

I recently had a custom cue made and here is how we did it. I bought a Cuetec extension (Make sure it comes with a joint protector). I sent the extension to the cue maker. He glued the joint protector into the butt cap and used a rubber bumper that had a hole in it large enough to accomodate the insertion of the Cue-tec extension screw. When you want to use the extension you merely screw it into the butt. Ebay sells the Cue-tec extension for less than $20 shipped (Again ,make sure it comes with the joint protector...some don't).

If you are talking about the type that the butt twists and pulls out, Mike Webb used to make cues with that feature so you may want to contact him.
It looks just like the Deroo one.

Spoke to Mike, he does NOT do them anymore.

Thanks Wedge, but the one that I want is built-in the cue. To use it all you have to do is twist the bottom of your cue and pull it and then twist it back to lock it in place. There is a rod that they install somehow inside the cue.

I can remember some one making a cue with a built in extension.
you could twist the butt and a stel rod would come out and you would twist it again and lock it. Have not seen one in a while though.Forgot they existed
lol

A long time ago I had a Coker with a built in extension like you want, you should try him. I am not sure if he does outside work.

Hit mike at babys proshop . He made one for me ..
And he's making a cue for my friend . And it will have one.
Or got too j&j cue they sell the kit too fit a cue..
Good luck .

Those built-in extensions are kinda flimsy when extended and are on short side. I guess they are more convenient but purely from functional side, screw in/on extenders are far better, IMHO (not that anyone asked ...).
