I put some email bids in for part 1 with Vince, and they were by no means low-ball bids, and when I contacted Vince again he told me I wasn't even close...
My opnion-I don't think store front "Auction Houses" should be able to post there up coming auctions on Az. As this gentleman did! He is highjacking Free advertising for a free standing place of business, way wrong.
This guy has never sold anyting on Az. He has only 18 posts, my guess most have to do with his auction house or auction.
Here at Corbett's we believed it would be best to post on Az for the simple fact that you folks are in the pool community. We wanted everyone to have a fair shake at getting one of Bert's cues. It was his wish that people he knew, befriended and admired have a chance to admire his collection and possibly own some of his cues. His wife thought our auction house was the best venue for this. Your bad-mouthing is a serious slam to Bert's wishes. Bert's true friends that showed up for the auction had nothing but wonderful things to say. All in all it was a wonderful day and we got to meet some truly awesome people and pool players!
Sincerely,
Vince Rowe

I'm not sure I see just what you did so wrong here. I guess the point seems to be that you did your job too well and got too high of prices for your consignor, which we both know can't be the case. I was still bidding on the Tad when you hung up, I don't think you could hear me. Anyway, judging from the 2 cues I was interested in, you did a good job marketing some cool stuff.
Thanks again
Kevin
I was very dissapointed in the way the auction was handled. I called a week ahead of the auction to give proxy bids because I could not attend the auction and was told to call the morning of the auction. I called several times that morning and left several messages with out a return call. i never got a chance to bid on any of these cues.
Anyone know the final price for that TAD? I had a budget for it but forgot about the auction. :frown:
In fact, any way we can get the results for all the cues?
Since some would like to know what the cues went for, we can post the prices realized if no one objects.
Thanks to all who bid.
Vince
