Butterfly cues

Billy webb definetly builds a bueatiful cue but, there is one i own a fullsplice butterfly built by andy at avscueshop.com he is going to be a true master in my opinion the cues hit great i have always loved billys work but never gotten a chance to play with one most butterfly cues are bueatys anyway thanx for sharing great stuff

billy is making some great butters along with brent which i hope to order from next year when he opens his books...but paul could of given them all the 7 ball...

I love butterflies, and I want one eventually. All of those cues are awesome, but the first one is very striking.

Thanks for showing off!

yes Paul could give them the 7, however in a few years i believe they will be up to Pauls speed. Paul is the all-time butterfly champion. Time will tell, these are great cues forsure.

No doubt! Paul is the man

Don't forget that insane Richard Black butterfly that was made not that long ago. Best I have ever seen

Surprised no one has mentioned Mr. Barrenbrugge yet*.

*edit: Upon a second reading, I noticed Brian did point him out. sry

know doubt about it eric, webb is doing some great work and as someone else said dave b is droping the major bomb on the butters....i really enjoy seeing them and will one day own one....yes brent you will be the maker... just love them lyptus shafts...

The more I look the more I like the second cue. The first one is striking, but I just can't help being attracted to the second cue. It really captures the old school kind of styling. Kind of like an antique cue with rejuvenated colors.

That old school flavor is "in" folks, especially with butterflies.

i was always a big fan of bill's bflys, especially the way his "intersect thru each other" rather than overlap the way mine do,
way back before i started building,
it must have been close to 10 years ago,
i wanted to buy a cue from billy
i just couldnt swing it at the time
billy sent me pics of a whole slew of cues
i have them on a disc here somewhere
if i can i'll put them all into a photobucket album so ya'll can see them

edit> found it
wasnt as many as i thought, was a long time ago
anyways, it was the last cue, the sun now, snakewood and flame veneers
with gold signature that i liked so much

agree, he does a nice job. his style is cutting points over the butterflies like the 360's. his colors kinda seem like they have italian influence, like the one with the wht/grn wrap. neat thing about butterfly cues is the varying way to make them, laminated like yours, 360 style, vignaux, all are great lookers to me.

I haven't seen alot of Billy's work, but I really like his taste and execution. Good Butterfly work isn't easy to get perfect, and it looks like has his style down pat. I also like the geometric mixture of sharp and round together in the cues. Brent's style is diffrent, just as well as Andy's, and they are both turning out awesome cues!

All I have to say is: IT'S ABOUT TIME!. Billy's cues are made with old school craftsmanship that is not easily found today. Haven't seen Bill's work since he relocated in AR, but his passion for perfection is reflected in every aspect of his work. Not trying to detract from the other highly skilled makers, but if you like butterflies, you should at least look at Billy's products. They are among the best IMHO.
