Buyer/Action Beware-Jumpcuewolf

I hate to have to do this, but I have been given the run around by Anthony Dellenbusch regarding the purchase of a cue. I don’t normally buy from newbies, however I figured this time I would give it a try.
I inquired via text message about the cue from Jumpcuewolf. He and I agreed on the price of the cue. I then sent payment via paypal. He at first didn’t seem to know how to use paypal. That should have been my first warning. However, I proceeded to try and help the guy out.
So, at first he said he didn’t get the money, then after figuring it out he then said he got the money. So then he said he will ship the cue. So I asked for a tracking number, he said he left UPS without one. Then I pressed him for a tracking and he all of a sudden said Tiger wouldn’t let him sell their protype.
So I then started the process of doing a Paypal claim for my money. So it was pending and I get an email from paypal today stating his bank had declined the echeck.
He has blamed everything on paypal,His bank etc except for the fact that he has not given me back my funds.
I have attached a photobucket file with all texts that have been exchanged as further proof of this issue.

So please beware of Jumpcuewolf. Again I just want a refund, bottom line.

he had issues trying to renegotiate some action on last nights game too.
He def looks like bad news.

Buyer/Action Beware

Hy there,

I do not know the person you are talking about.

But according to my own experience and the bad news I read here once a while about people trying to cheat on honest guys like us drives me nuts! It's a shame

Why can't we maybe try to avoid incidences like this?

Maybe it would be a good idea for newbies to make a deposit of let's say $200.00 ?

Or how about the sad (but probably the only way) to use an escrow service like Marcus offers...

I don't know either... we do need to find a legal & fair solution to avoid people cheating on us!!!

Wish you what

Is there no one in the area who would help sort this out?

On gambling debts it's only trouble to get involved, but if it's a sale, then someone can get paid in person and the reputable person can paypal you the money.

Unless the reputable person keeps the money (which I guess with all that goes on could happen.)

I think in the case of new people they need to ship out the item before they are paid if the person buying the item has a good iTrader and is a member of AZ for awhile. That is how I would do a trade deal or a transaction with someone who has little to no iTrader. I hope that it all gets resolved, I believe that it will. The person is on Facebook also and perhaps there is someone who knows him personally in the pool community.

i got a text message from him stating that he doesnt rip people off and that for the trouble he would pay me $240 on the first. I said I'll believe it when I see it.

That is like 3 weeks away, so basically he could not refund your money because he is broke.

Tony,

What happens if Paypal cannot collect the money from him?

Mike.

I don't know, I will have to go the legal route but still doesnt mean I will end up with my money back. So right now its a waiting game. I might have just gotten a $225 air barrel but we shall see.

Frankly, I had that guy on high alert from the moment he started posting. He posted the same cue several times, bumping like crazy, with no pics or reliable details. Seemed flakey from other posts.

Choose the seller as much as the product.

This is the same guy who was trying to sell a brand new XBox with games and other stuff. Once I pointed out that I know of no one with a game console with 10 games, a headset and wireless controller that is brand new he came out to say that it was used.

Early on, I painted his rep red, not just because he was selling an X-box here on az (with no pool related trade offers), but because of how he responded to my making him aware that he was breaking our forum rules.

He was a wise guy right out of the gate.

Not too surprising that he turns out to be an unreliable trader.

To the OP, I do hope you get your money back.

Best,
Brian kc

A new person on the forum with no iTrader feedbacks should (I would hope) understand that they don't have a reputation to show they can be trusted and if they don't agree to ship first and then get paid, as you suggest, then i'd pass on dealing with them. Once they've made a few good deals and have established some positive iTrader feedbacks then they won't have to deal this way. You have to start somewhere to establish trust and this is the best way to do it. If the person is honest and they see the buyer has numerous positive iTrader feedbacks from other members I don't see why shipping first and then getting paid would be a problem. Most of us have worked hard to establish our reputations on this forum and we'd never throw our reputations away to shaft someone on a cue deal.

I've been on pool forums for over 12 years and don't ever remember reading about rip-offs as much as has been reported lately. We all must be VERY careful who we send money to. Sad, but true!

James, that's a great post. I agree. New users on the forum need to understand that trust is earned.

These situations are shameful.
