Mackie, I tried to have respect for you for having as many positive transactions as you had in the past. Something surely has gone very badly for you lately... but making these kinds of comments makes it hard for anyone to sympathize with you. In the future you should choose your words more carefully. Just a suggestion, FWIW.
 
I was told by him he would be refunding my money. I havent heard from him in 5 days or so. I have been waiting for him to make it right, seems like wishful thinking now. I havent filed a claim with PP, will try to today, but you might be right that it has been too long.

My refund has been "Pending" for awhile now so I called Paypal. They said that since the money is coming from the UK, it takes 7-10 business days. They also indicated that "Pending" is no guarantee that the funds are coming. He could have clicked "Refund" without actually having money in the account.

Smoknum, were you able to open a claim? If you paid via credit card (through Paypal) you can try contacting them as well.

According to Paypal, I have received my refund from ob1-mackie as of today.

I did not receive the cue. I asked a few times how much he'd want for the cue if it eventually showed up and he kept ignoring that question, which indicates to me that he never shipped anything. Since three of us are waiting for shipments allegedly sent at the same time (no receipts provided), I guess we'll see.

Maybe someone can set up a vBookie event on whether or not anyone will receive any items :D . Either way I sure hope Smoknum and wade receive their items or a refund.

I have had a text explanation from Neil but he was supposed to ring me and I never got the call. I wanted to hear it from him direct. I don't think he can appreciate just what damaged is being caused all of this. Especially for overseas buyers/sellers. I have worked hard for my reputation over the years and his actions do not help. A bad seller is a bad seller, wherever they exist on the globe. If there is a genuine reason for all of this, actions speak louder than words, so fess up.

Neil, if you are reading this......just come clean with it all, face the music and explain what has gone down. If not, I guess this thread is done with along with your rep. Pending other refunds of course. Try and salvage whats left, Neil......please.
 
I filed a claim with paypal the other day. I dont know what good it will do. I was promised a refund. It doesnt seem likely I will ever receive it. I am going to take a $150 hit on this deal, which sucks. Just my luck I guess.

no way az v-bookies this. they'd never be able to fade all the v-cash they'd lose when the cues didn't show up. unless they put a pay off date of "this event will pay off when hell freezes over or the cues show up":killingme:

Chuck, if you funded the PayPal payment with your credit card and not your bank account you can initiate a chargeback through your credit card company. Simply let them know you paid for an item which was not delivered and they will contact the seller. No response from the seller and you get your money back, it ends up on PayPal to retrieve the funds from the seller and you don't wait.

I've had to do this once and I know of others who have done this as well.

I did receive a refund, but since ob1-mackie claims to have shipped items to me and two others, I thought I'd update the thread.

No item was received. How about you, Wade, Smoknum...?

I feel your guys pain also, I was high bidder on an auction on ebay, but did not meet the reserve. I made the guy an offer, and he agreed, so I paid for the cue thru paypal on 2-6-09. I have no cue, and the guy wont answer his phone or messages or emails. I too have opened a claim in paypal. to be clear its not Ob that I am talking about. I will post his name and this story in a new thread soon though. Good luck with your claims guys.

I did file a complaint with paypal. I got a message that he was sending me a refund, which is still pending. On the paypal details it said "please let me know if the item still arrives". So we will see, it seems like this issue will be resolved. I am still curious whether the items were ever shipped. Ill keep you updated.

Neil claimed to have shipped items to me, Smoknum, and Wade on January 14th. It's now Feb 26th and none of us have received items.

Smoknum, glad to hear a refund is pending. Hopefully wade gets one as well.
 
That's not annoying. What's annoying is a person like that. His word doesn't mean anything. If it did he would have refunded promptly. You might eventually get paid, but his word still means nothing.
 
After I read you soy, what is in my mind was the OB1-mackie might in a need of cash but he has no cash on that time, so he try to sell the item to get money for the moment and make some excuses to delay the payment until he got his money.

That is the only reason that make any sense. Because it is not possible for so many items not arrived...
