Right now, i have a problem with a cuemaker in USA...He promise me to build my cue and finish it in April 2011..Right now it's already July and he still don't reply my email. Do i need to think that every cuemaker in USA is a liar ?? No i don't.. because i know a gentleman is always a gentleman and a Liar is always a liar. it's not depend on Ras, religion and else..

Please don't believe Les Lacson anymore...what ever he promise you, it's all a bullshit. He is talk sweet but there is a poison on every promise he is made.
My pinoy friend told me the problem between Les and Bebot. He is a friend with both Bebot and Les and tell me that Les is taking all money from customer and don't give the money and order a cue from bebot. That is what he told me. I also know that when Les is asking for our patient and made an excuse for the climate situation and flood, typhoon and etc. it's all just a lie. There is a typhoon, flood and etc but it's not a big impact for bebot work. The reason is he is not order your cue to Bebot..
So, i guess it's better for you to forget your cue and this Les is deserves a permanent banned from this forum

I agree with you 100%. Never experienced any issues with overseas cuemakers meeting their deadline. I definitely had issues with some cuemakers here in the US going over their deadline, one by 6 months and the other by 4 months then gives you attitude when you try to pin them down on a date. It took the latter over 2 months to do a refinish he promised to complete in a week. Good grief!
I hear Scott Sherbine is very good at meeting his deadline. Is this true? I'd rather they tell me it would take 1 month for refinish then complete it in 15 days rather than tell me 1 week then finish in 2 months.

Many years ago I had Scot do a full refinish and reconditioning of a leather wrap on a cue I had. At the time, he quoted me a 7 day turnaround. From my shipping to him to my receiving the cue back was 10 days total...from one side of the country to the other, and back. The work was top-notch and very reasonable, IMHO.

I am finding it difficult to understand how Bebot has not publically denounced Les on the forum. Also, don't forget, I was sent pics of the cues I designed that were partially built ......what happened too those cues? Does Bebot just send them to another distibutor and sell them?
I also cannot believe the amounts we are talking here. $1000us in the Phillipines is huge money. Yet "the_general" is still active and can interact at will on this forum.
Les tried calling me this morning after the initial text. I did not answer as I instructed him to communicate publically only.........he has obviously decided not to do so.

Exactly what i thought, the cardinal rule in cue buying is #1 never pay upfront #2 expect it to take much longer than promised. If you know those 2 things you can buy any cue, and not piss of the cue maker. funny how that works.
giving a good cue maker a deadline is just shooting your self in the foot, I been doing this since SW was a 8 month wait, I know what i'm talking about.

The sad fact is that when you pay the total cost up front, there is really very little incentive for the maker to make, let alone complete, your cue. It's akin to paying a worker for a job before he even does it...not likely to happen...the incentive of cold hard cash is gone...they already have it.
I don't care if it's a maker I have been trying to acquire a cue from for years and years...if the request for total payment up front is made, I'm outta there...far too many people have been burned in this manner.
I feel badly for you Glibby...you tried to do something very, very special for your son and yourself, a memory-moment, and the greedy and dishonest just ruined it for you both. Cannot something be done concerning International Wire/Mail Fraud? If something is not done, this Les character will continue to defraud people until he is caught and made to pay.

I was told Les was the broker and Bebot was the maker. I investigated Les's prior sales and his history was perfect (as it still currently is). Bebot was never to receive the entire amount but to protect Les he required upfront money.
I diliberated with this issue but based on history, price, prior feedback and overall end result, I elected the risk was minor. And also don't forget, Les at the time I purchased, was consistantly bragging with each delivered cue too the states he delivered. He was hot with sales when I contracted him. Finally, Even if I were to hold back some funds......what real guarantee do I have, more than I had in the initial decision to purchase, that the cue will be sent once final payment is made. This not my first custom cue purchase from design to delivery and fyi......the others were delayed as well. This is theft

i am pretty sure Al know Mr. Les Lacson aka "The_general" or commonly call TG by some friends, TG also did ask to make some cues from Mr. Al Bautista before, so how can he not know him as well.
well i know the guy Les Lacson, aka the_general, i have talk with him to resolve these issues so everything would be fine, but that only what i can do as for now is to talk with him, with regards to the issues between him and Bebot, lets leave that for them to settle by themselves

Let me clear it, I only met Les once, through one of my friends and it was long long time ago and was also the last, had no chance of talk to him. Yes i heard his name a lot on BDN and here but i really dont know him as you think. And for the record, he never ask me to make a cue for him, i know he buy one of my cues through Ben and immediately sold it when he and Bebot make a combined. And to tell the truth, i have my stories also with Les, but i will keep it in on myself.
At the end, i'm still looking forward for the good sunlight for both parties,
By the way, i am also surprised that Mr. Libby posted my pm.

He is obviously using his position on the forum to further his scamming of other members of the forums. A person who would do things such as that has no right being in a position of responsibility within the very community that he is targeting for his illegal activities.
