Buyers beware of Strokerz aka Bring King of Morgantown, WV. I purchased a $1300.00 Unique Products pool cue lathe from him over 2 weeks ago and have not received it yet. He has gave me the run around for 2 weeks now. He keeps making promises and now it's been 3 days since he has contacted me. I have gave him ample time and today I have contacted the local police and have filed a fraud charge with them.

ANYBODY KNOW A CONTACT NUMBER FOR THIS PERSON ?

What a coincidence, I have a cousin in Morgantown. Former biker, now a mostly honest construction worker.

Yes I just talked to the Captain at the Morgantown Police dept. He told me all I have to do is bring all the e-mails (Pm's) and the copies of the money orders cashed money order, which I got back from the Post office. I even photo copied the Post office Priority mail envelope with all that information on it to. $ 1300.00 will be worth a few hour drive to Morgantown, WV.
I'm hoping he will see the light and make good on this. It's not going to be worth stealing $1300.00 and going to jail.
 
I just talked with Mr. Ludwig ( The Owner of Strokerz Billiards )
He is the Owner of that lathe and Brian King no longer works there !
He borrowed the lathe from the pool room this weekend and said he was going to do a tournament !
He has a large gambling debt from what I understand !

This situation is a bad one for you. You've probably lost your money.

There is a possibility that if your transaction was with Brian King personally unless he is a principal in Strokerz (no matter how he represented himself), you are just dealing with Brian King and not the company. It sounds like the lathe was Strokerz's property. Even if you get it, it could be stolen property.

I would work with the owner to find a solution. Maybe you both bring charges and ask for your money back from the court.

It sounds like that anoying 3% paypal fee might be worth the extra level of protection that they give you, not to mention if you pay with your credit card via paypal. I know I've changed the way I conduct transactions now that Cuephoric has stolen $1,500 from me.

I'm currently working on two different SW deals, and had both sellers say they wouldn't use escrow... not a good sign.
 
It's a shame he did this cause he was a friend of mine !
I held Viking Tournaments in that room where he was a manager !
He bought a silver chain and 9-Ball pendant, that my girlfriend makes custom, and payed me out of petty cash from the poolroom !
When the owner found $100 missing from petty cash he blamed it on me that he made change for me and I didn't give him the 100 !
THAT WAS A LIE !
If somebody did this to me I would hope that all my friends on AZ would bend over backwards to help me the same way I would do for all of you guys on here !

My response

First of all I am the owner of this lathe and not Chuck Ludwig or Strokerz . I was manager there for over a year and did all cue repair. I have no gambling debts as was reported. I recieved Jeff's money order and deposited it Dec 6th into my account. There were 2 money orders one for $1000 and one for $300. I told Jeff I would ship the lathe when the money orders cleared my account which they did last friday. Jeff was upset that the lathe did not arrive before a tourney he wanted to set up and work last weekend. To make this right I told Jeff I would ship the lathe Monday and REFUND his $100 he paid for shipping to make this right. I am working a fulltime job now 12 hr days I have not had time this week to ship it out. BUT I will ship TODAY and provide everyone here including Jeff with the tracking #"s.
I am a stand up guy I have not avoided contcat with Jeff or ignored him in any way nor did I plan to steal anything from any one. Shawn I consider you a friend still and hope from what you know of me yoy know this is just a misunderstanding, That I will make right with Jeff. Jeff I do apologize I didnt ship Monday as I said I would But will do so before today ends.

Chuck owns NOTHING at Strokerz but the business name. Period!
 
I hope everything gets worked out.

I really hope everything was just a misunderstanding. I hate when people use this site as a way to scam honest people out of their hard earned money.
 
No matter what, this is ugly...

It would appear that Mr King and Mr Ludwig don't see eye to eye as to ownership of the property, etc. I can't see anyone short of a court deciding on who is entitled to what. Of course, now a third party is involved, which makes it even messier. Use of the post office and shipping between states complicates matters even more.

I wish all of you guys the best of luck in getting this all resolved.

I am not going to air the owner of Strokerz dirty laundry in public, lets just say he had a partner they split up his ex partner owned the lathe he took the lathe when they split. I came in and I went to said ex partner bought the lathe and set it up in Strokerz. The lathe does not nor ever did belong to Chuck. I am leaving my job at 4:00 pm est I am going to fed ex and will have tracking numbers to post this evening. Again, I apologize to Jeff and now It seems I owe Shawn an apology for what ever Chuck told him which I will get to the bottom of tonight personally. Know this, I am a stand up guy, I pay my debts I make good on deals I make. I will still send Jeff a $100 refund on the shipping as I promised I would. I have to get back to work now but this will be resolved tonight and I hope that all patries involved will be satisfied.

Well heres the thing, Jeff sent the m/o out on the 24th ot the 26th of nov by priority mail 2 day I think. it did not arrvive till dec 4th thats 8 days give or take. I said nothing about the delay in payment not one word we stayed in contact and everything was cool. I was instructed by my bank to wait till the m/o's cleared my account before shipping as there have been numorous ccases of bad postal money orders floating around> i told Jeff i ment do disrespect to him I just wanted to be safe. Am I the seller not allowed to be safe? just the buyer? I do stand by my word. The whole mess about the lathe being owned by Chuck is absured and when I see him tonight I wii set a few things straight.

As for the MO's being delayed in mailing ??? You seen when they where mailed. It's out of my control that the Post office took that many days to get them to you. You know I sent them Priority 2 day mail. I have copies of it. So for you to say anything about you being a great guy and waiting for them is B/S.
Just make this right and I will post an I'm sorry to Brian King letter on her.
