California Young Gun Tony "T-Rex" Chohan's Challenge Match!

Cliff Joyner

Cliff has been living in Houston. Does Houston classify as "west of Oklahoma"?

If so, I definitely like Cliff.........playing one pocket anyway!

Hell, I'll give him some action. I just don't wanna be "The Best in the West" when I get done. I just wanna be "The Best In Kingman At Red Barn Billiards". So, I guess he'll have to come here and play $20 sets, LOL. I hope he doesn't come on a tournament night though, those are all mine. :D

I challenged him at the Pechauer tournament Saturday but he said I was too old. Dang!

I have watched him play a few times up in sac town, he has a huge stroke.

I explained to Tony when he approached me about this that I wanted to be able to cover the whole thing on the site. So if anyone steps up, we should be able to know about it before hand, report on the outcome and hopefully even lay some vBookie odds on the match.

Mike

You know I'll be there if it is at all possible.

The first time I ever met Tony was at the U.S. Open. Everything he wore -- shoes, hat, pants, shirt, socks -- matched perfectly, like he just stepped out of a Nike commercial. :p

That is true! And unbeknownst to him, I learned a very interesting yet affective word from him during at Q-Master's in '03. teehee

There are a few players in California that would (if they could come up with the $$) take this offer...

The 'Freezer' would be on the list of 'usual suspects'

I think "Mad" Max Eberle would be a tough match up fpr Tony, in 9-Ball, and Billy Palmer would be a tough match for him in 1 hole. I saw Max beat Tony pretty easily at the bicycle casino last month in LA, although it wasn't an "ahead" race. Is Ernesto over 50?

Hay i saw him when he came down to Sc for Gradys tournment .lookin for a game but did not step to the freezer for action..O what can be said about that ???? I like the Freezer in the game ..O 1 hole .. :) :) :)

i dont think john horsfall is much of a money player but anyone know how these two match up in tournament play? (9ball)

Chohan will accept a challenge from any player under the age of 50 who lives west of Oklahoma to play a '5 ahead' One Pocket Challenge Match or a '10 ahead' 9-Ball Challenge Match at Hard Times Billiards in Sacramento, California for anywhere between $5,000 and $10,000.
Why does he have to play someone uder 50 ??? if Tony feels like playing an old man, Bucktooth will play for that kind of $$$

looks like a dork

I don't know Bucktooth personally. We might have said hi in passing a couple times, and that is about it. However, I've seen his show enough times to be able to make an educated assessment of his action. The guy will bet high, yes, but I've never seen him in a game where he didn't have the nuts. If I had the dough to bet, and I had the nuts every time I played, I'd bet that high too. Who wouldn't?

I would have to guess that the "under 50" rule was for Parica's sake. He has been living in California for a while now.

In his challenge he stated west of Oklahoma. I believe that excludes all players in OK and TX. So maybe he doesn't think he can beat Hillbilly, Double J, current U.S. Open champ Gabe Owen, Sylver, Brian Jones, Shane McMinn or any of the other champions that live in TX and OK.

Dangit, that rules me out as well... ;)

Johnny Hagar

Jam - you said - I'm anxious to see who's going to step up to the plate!

I THINK - Johnny Hagar wants some more. They played a great match here in St. Louis not too long ago and Johnny got the large chee$e.
I have Johnny's # if Tony wants it.

No, I have Johnny's new number but wouldn't give it out without his permission. Hager Jr. also beat T-Rex in Louisville playing 10 ball, 10 ahead where Hager started out 1 game winner. Hager won fairly easy. Tony could never really get going. Here in St. Louis, Hager & Chohan played one pocket, if I remember correctly 9-8 (Hager got spotted) and Hager steam rolled him. but Hager lives in Texas and according to my map, it is not west of Oklahoma. Tony is a great player but in 9 ball I don't see him beating many of the Okla/Texas players.....Waldin, Gabe, Friedenhofer, Hager, Double J, Hill Billy Bryant, Matlock (when he is living in Tulsa). He would beat Shane McMinn who was mentioned in an earlier post.

....My 2 cents
