Can anyone share a RECENT POSITIVE experience

8ballrat will never do you wrong. I bought an el cheapo McDermott from him. We agreed on a price and we met in Annapolis. We shot seveal racks and he was gracious enough to pay for the table time and the beer I drank. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him again

McDermott cues has great customer service. I uses their maintenance program and Jayme always answers his email. If there is a problem (like no moori medium tips in stock) you get an email explaining it. I ended up going with the moori hard, and once we got that straight the cue was back in about a week.

I do have a sense of humor. When something is funny.

Didn't realize all my posts had to pass your inspection, Milo.

On topic, I have had several great experiences here on AZ in terms of transactions and friends made. That said, there is nothing wrong with alerting people of shady business practices and keeping the pressure on, IMO.

Is that better, Milo?

No hard feelings OK

Yes, very positive post. LOL
I just get tired of all the negative stuff.
Post on Koop!!!! No need for my approval. LOL

Knock on wood all of mine have went smooth. They were with Jon P Nusbaum, several with Nineball, Snowmon, Ribdoner, and you cowboy. I also have a couple of cues on order from Jeff Olney and expect it to go well also, he always answers the phone!

I used Elmer's glue to put the bumper back on the butt of my cue. It's been almost 8 months and it hasn't fallen off once.

My fav is the Nutty Coconut at Baskin and Robbins. YUM
You should try it B. LOL

To keep this on the pool theme. I also use to clean my ferrule. LOL
Although it becomes a little sticky at times. LOL

Well it is nice to see most who replied understood the question. Point is there are more good people in the world than bad. Sadly the NEWS Media only reports Good News on SLOW News days.

bought a custom case from Brian Bonner of Nittany Leather and just got it a couple days ago...the guy can build a sweet case. everything that i wanted customized, he excuted perfectly. nice guy to deal with, and the case is a steal at his prices.

i would get in line before his cases reach the popularity of a Justis, and the prices of one too

So where are the photos of it?:grin-square:

THis is not a pool story but a good people story. I just came back from Vegas and played in the Binions Classic tournament. I got bad beat out of a big jackpot. I had KK vs JJ and the guy got a J on the flop to take it down. The dealer cut all my chips and I was left with$200. My opponent raises a protest and calls the tournament director and says the dealer made a mistake and he says the dealer gave him too many chips and says I was cheated out of $300. The TD looks at me and asks. I say I was too bummed out to notice anything. My opponent insists that I get the $300 back. THe TD takes the $300 and gives it to me and says "Deal Em!".

I think most people are genuinely honest and would not like to go out as cheaters. The guy was a winner in my eyes and gave me a example to live by. Cause its not the profit but how you feel about yourself when you do. The guy said he couldnt live with himself if he won that way. The guys who cheat eventually have to live with themselves and you dont.

Mueller's, Platnum Billiards, Billiards Warehouse, and Pool Dawg have always been a pleasure to order with. They ask all the right questions that I do not think about when I am on the phone! Thanks to all them for the good service and all the little extras they always throw in for me to try.

cheers----------BW

There have been like 3 or 4 recent thread that are burning like a wild fire out of control.

About a particular cue builder.

I believe there are always a minimum of THREE sides to ever story. Those being party "A?s", party "B's", and last the 100% Total Truth.

I am hoping to be the first one to try and say something positive about a Pool Accessories Supplier, Table Mechanic, Case Builder, Cuemaker, or some one we buy Pool stuff from. Hope other contribute to this thread.

Server weeks ago I saw the NEW Tiger Products
thumbsup.gif
IceBreaker Break/Jump Tips up at the BCA thing in Sin City in May. Got to try out the Tips at the Tiger Booth.

After returning home I decide I wanted a couple of the NEW JB TIPS, so I called Mueller's , and was transfer to their guy who orders stuff like that. We talked, I gave him my e-mail, and he promised to let me know when Mueller's got the NEW Tiger Products IceBreaker Break/Jump Tips in stock.

About 10 day ago I got an e-mail as promised with pricing, sent in my money, and got the Tips the other day in the mail.

Point is everything went as promised like ever time I deal with Mueller

yes indeed those were good times..

Brought a cue from both Joey Bautista and Mason Houghland that went great. Played pool with Bnall that was fun. Caught some fish the other night which was good. Had a good lunch. Cubs are first place in their division. I'm still employed. Love my wife. All of those are positives and really none of them have to do with the internet.

Bnall didn't mention who won when you guys played, so I am guessing it was you.

Tell us how he shoots.

Did you have to give him the 7-out?

I'd like to give a positive shout out to ozone billiards and freddy the beard for such informative bank videos. And azbilliards in general is the best site for all things pool i think. I have yet to buy anything off of anyone on here but i do plan to buy a custom shaft in the future and could use some suggestions as to whom to have make me one it shall be a solid hitting shaft with a long taper and a little more than 11mm at the tip.

joerackem

I can't let this thread go on with out mentioning Joe Nielson (joerackem on ebay)from Nielson Billiards, Springfield Ill. He is a super dealer, selling mostly on ebay. Always fast with shipping, over 15,000 feedbacks and 100% positive, not a single complaint from anybody.

Great thread

My $0.02 - personal accomplishment

Beat the 9 ball ghost (no combination) on a bar table - gambling - for the first time.

I was 3 game winner when the power went out due to a storm

Rep for the thread

A week ago, I was helping my brother load deer corn into feeders out at our ranch. One bag got away from me and I seperated my shoulder. Now, I can't lift my arm much higher than my waist.

Over the last few months, my pool game has escalated to be close to the best I've ever played. Now, that's over for a while until the shoulder heals, if ever.

What am I positive about?

About three months ago, my dauther and son in law went belly up in a start up business deal in Missouri. Not bankrupt, but flat broke. They lost everything.

I sent them the money to come home to Texas. I've paid their bills over the last couple of months during his job search and it was killing them as they are both very responsible adults.

His job search landed him a job out of New York for 105K starting salary + bonuses and they get to stay in Texas. They liked him so much, they gave him a signing bonus of 10K! WOO,WOO!

Screw the shoulder and my pool game for now. I'm a happy camper!!!

I got my kids back home!! Now if they would only get on the stick and give me a litter of grandbabies! LOL

Stones

1. Muellers always ships complete and in a timely manner for me.
2. Predator: had a problem with a cracked ferrule, I returned it they sent me a new one.
3. Jerry Olivier does quality work and helped me out with a cue that was for a friend that was made of wood that is very hard to work on. He did a terrific job and we played some one pocket.
4.www.cuestore.com is a great business. I have gotten good deals from them.

There's some good stories. Have more than I have time to write.
