can anyone tell me how far the Red Roof is from the Venue

I'm trying to make it to the Open this year for a few days and got a room at the Red Roof inn which they tell me is walking distance to the Venue. Can anyone that has stayed there or lives in the area tell me if that is the case.

Never stayed there but is is very close. It is on the road that leads to the conference center, just a few minutes stumble away.

It's about one long block away, less than a quarter of a mile walk. I stayed there last year and will be again this year.
