for me, the answer is yes. since finding this site, i have found a a renewed passion for the game. i've always loved pool, but somehow it is different. by reading this site, i find myself everyday picking up the cue. Even after long days at work when im too tired.

I think so.

There's a wealth of information, both good and bad, in these forums. If you take the time to sift through them, you SHOULD learn something.

The info is definitely there.

It sure can in many ways. There are some GREAT guys here who offer up help to those in need and I have learned much since joining.

Also it's one of best (if not the best) place to find great deals on all pool related products!

You betcha your backside it can....... I know it has helped me a great deal. This is a great place, but you should not just take. You should give back, in a positive way.

Here's a lil wisdom fer ya,

If you keep an open mind and are able to sort through the BS, this site can be an invaluable tool for not only pool players, but cue makers, retailers, and anyone else involved in pool.

Get easily offended, argue, get tied up in petty BS, and you will easily become a victim and eventually just not be able to gain very much at all because your cup is too full.

In martial arts, we say 'Keep your cup empty so that more knowledge can be poured in." Which, in my opinion, is the number one issue us forum posters needs to remember. 9 times out of 10, threads go south quickly because someone takes offense when they shouldn't.

Have a nice day.

You hit on an excellent point IMO... the passion and motivational part. This is the same for me too. Having a group of people with a common interest is very motivating and to hear their stories, short comings, and successes is great too.

I've also been able to work through some problems in my game due to the help of AZ. Or, if its real technical details you need, you can find that too.

Definitely! I have found a lot of good information on this site. One of my favorites has been the video encyclopedia's of pool thing. I had no idea about squirt and swerve. I always wondered why I would miss that clutch shot at the end that I wanted to put some hard side spin on. Watched that video on it and found the simple adjustment to fix it. I always just assumed I was hitting it wrong. There are other things that I will learn I'm sure. Right now I'm just at the basics.

Used the information though and ran my first break yesterday. I was always getting really close, just could never put it together.

Hmpf!!

HOW DARE YOU SAY WE GET OFFENDED!:poke::woot: ( this is not a example of petty B.S.)

As long as you practice what the pro's are preaching then yes,for sure you can get much better.

If nothing else it's nice to get certain questions answered on why someone did what they did, or why did this ball react that way, or how you shoulda played this. That's part of what makes it unique. A book can answer a lot of questions but on here you get a direct answer to your exact question. And what I like about this forum vs. others is they don't drown you out with "don't ask stupid questions. Look it up. Read the faq." ...generally within an hour you'll just have a half dozen straight answers. It's great.

This site also brings everything and everyone together (for the most part) for instance......
1...Great players (amateurs)
2...Great players (pros)
3...Great members (more then I could mention)
4...Live streaming and Youtube video's
5...Point of views from young to old
6...Point of views from women or men
7...point of views from many countries
8...useful insight from some of the greatest instructors in the country.
9...cue makers and collectors galore
10..venders of pool related products with great pricing
11..Great table mechanics
I think if you use this forum in a smart way you will increase your knowledge base of the game and improve.;)

In a more serious post, YES, this site can improve your game. I am proof-in-the-pudding! I have learned much from this site. Kinda like fast-track lessons so to speak. You can use the search function and find the answer to just about any question you may have.

BTW, I haven't ever done this before and myself and others should have long ago. I'd like to thank ALL of the people for posting info on here that if accumulated together would cost me (or anyone else) hundreds of dollars in lessons to obtain. From the least to the most knowledgable person here, I thank you for sharing your knowledge. There are some very smart and gifted players/mentors on here that go out of their way to share and this alone has made my play better. Too many to mention individually, but we know who they are. Once again, many thanks!!!

Yes most definatly. Read, learn, practice, repeat! I have only been back playing for 6 months and I would not have betten CJ Wiley lastnight if it wasen't for luck, AZ and starting with 3 on the wire. Take away any one of the three and well you know I would have lost.

Yes, this is a great site. Due to a shoulder injury, I haven't played for years, but I still spend a couple of hours a day reading the posts. Very enjoyable!!!!

In almost all respects, a resounding yes. Many a helpful hint has come from the AZ forum website.

Oh yes, I almost forget. I especially enjoy the afternoon teas. Those little cake are scrumptious.

Certainly, there's a lot of good information on here and any poor info is usually called out.

The only downside I've found is I go into a brief slump whenever I read an aiming thread.

If it were not for this forum I would have given up pool and be sitting in some knitting class about now. I can't begin to tell you about all the information that I have gotten from our memebers here. Everyone here has a great passion for the game and no matter how complicated a system is someone here can break it down into basic atoms. I love this place and will defend it to the death.

I was watching some pool last night on the live streaming vid. I've been in a bit of a funk on pool lately. But watching that video last night really made me want to get to the pool hall and work on some shots and get back to my a-game.

My biggest hurdle right now is focusing on focusing. Too many times I'm letting my opponent to the table on some very makeable shot that I missed because I was complacent. I have the skills I need, but getting my head down and focused on every shot is what will put ones on the W collumn.

I'm glad I tuned in last night, and plan to catch more of it.

Absolutely it can and will..............

Hi there,

There is such a pool of knowledge here and you never know what you will learn and how much it will help you.

Right now I am using AZ and some of the guys to review the Perfect Aim video. Perfect Aim has helped so many players around the world improve their games that it is almost rediculous. The problem though is that some of the players couldn't understand exactly how it worked from the video.

With the help of these 13 guys I am trying to perfect how to show players how well this works so everyone will get the great results and understand what they are trying to learn.

The things I have tried and learned from these guys I am also using in my private lessons and the results have been Phenominal. My lessons have never been so easy to give. Sometimes before I would take 3 hours sometimes for a lesson and most of it was trying to get the players to understand.

With these results I will be redoing the video to incorperate these new teaching techniques. It's pretty exciting.

Plus these 13 players are really learning something that will change the way they play pool ferever.

A win, win, situeation all the way around.

And here's what else. AZ is how Perfect Aim got started. An idea that worked and the GREATEST POOL SITE IN THE WORLD.

The rest is history.

Keep at it and keep learning.

Plus some day you will meet a bunch of these guys here and there. What a great group of people. It's just plain old fun all the way around.

Good Luck Geno.............
