Crude & Simple idea that I'm considering, but there may be programs that can make it look a little better or just some fellow AZers opinions would be great, Thanks....It will be engraved in the butt cap or Hoppe ring NOT handwritten, because my handwriting sux :D

I think it's hard to notice the "KT" letters on that logo. A logo should be simple enough to be understood by all, yet artistic at the same time.

I like it ,its kool!

I think you should take the date out of there. My eye automatically goes to the date and I dont note the KT.

I realize these are your initials, and it's probably just me, but when I think of KT, I think of this.

Let me add that my initials of JAM gave me a chuckle one time. I was asked to do a job for the United States Marine Corps about the Iraq War. Imagine my shock when I realized my initials stood for an armed militia known as Jaish al-Mahdi (JAM). I was wondering what the Marine Corps would think if they knew their job was performed by JAM! :embarrassed2:

I like Bill's suggestion, or maybe just go vertical with it, and make the left vertical line/"backbone" of the K go straight down into the vertical/'spine' of the T?

Damn I wish I had mspaint on this laptop, hard to explain what I mean. :(

Oh man! KT? I thought it was a picture of a house that was missing the right half of it's roof!

dld

Yeah, my first thought was this for some reason:

I am Not good at abstract I guess :)

A logo should be easily understood

If you want professional help with your logo, go to 99designs.com. They have hundreds of graphic artists that will compete in your contest to design the perfect logo for you or your company. And it costs less than #300! You will choose from 70-100 entries and the contest only lasts six days at most, unless you see one you want and end the contest early.

This is the first time I've heard of this. I just visited that website. Thanks for sharing this bit of info. I'm going to pass it forward to some colleagues. This looks like a very good place to obtain a logo for a fair rate!

I didn't know what his initials are and didn't know what he was making the logo for or trying to sell. I didn't see his little note at the bottom until I scrolled down.

With that said I also thought it was part of a house and he was going into the remodeling business.

Then with further study it looked like a cave drawing of a dog or horse.

Then I thought it was a stick figure of a pool player stroking a elevated shot.

Then after reading some of the other posts and going back to the original I seen that at the bottom was his name and that he wants to build cues.

I would say that the no logo would make me want to buy a cue. Put more effort into building a cue instead of trying to come up with a logo. Many cue makers will change their logo as they comntinue in the business. This also helps to ID a cue and adds a little more mystique to it.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I really liked it then I read your comments & now Im like WTH was I thinking. So back to the drawing board to come up with something "simple & artistic" as SeanC suggested....maybe 99designs would be my best bet as I am not that artistic as you've seen.

Bill - I like it

Great Idea, I will look into this more, thanks!

How does going with no logo help to ID a cue, Im confused....am I just reading this wrong?
