Can our sport ride the green wave ???

Keep weed out of one pocket. That game is long enough already.

I could see 2 stoners playing one pocket.
they both study the table for 10 minutes and finally one says
"Are you going to shoot?
the other one replies
"I thought it was your shot"
and this gos on for hours.

I picture a new version of bonus ball ... pocket an orange, pocket a purple, pocket the bonus ball ... you get to eat a twinkie or keep shooting. It would keep the game close, no big runs because of the twinkie breaks.

Yep that's why they need to get on board.
Colorado is raking in the money and paying big taxes too !
It's Babe the Blue Ox of cash cows.
Colorado is on the other side of the economic factor fence !

Heck I hardly smoke it at all anymore.
I want to try the OIL sir !

the down side of legal pot here in Colorado is that people are moving here in record numbers.Apartment rents are sky rocketing and there is a shortage of rental properties.
But on the up side they are building new homes and apartment buildings at a frantic pace trying to keep up.
I work for a builder driven flooring company and we can't keep up. Also a good thing we are in the process of hiring 3 new employees and we can't get enough sub contractors to install our products.
If anyone reading this can do vinyl-wood-carpet-or tile come on out here. there's plenty of work.

That's why we need to legalize it in every state. There'd be a building boom nationwide. :D

LOL good one.

I just might be in Denver someday myself !

Only when you are first hired.
But if pot is legal can they still deny employment?
I don't know but i will ask tomorrow.

Yes they can deny employment for pot.HARSH I know bro:smile:
Its not likely that a flooring biz would but any of the more dangerous building trades should as well as manufacturing cos that use dangerous machines and such

they are coming here for legal pot.
If it was legal in every state there would be no reason to move.

Uh... I was being facetious. No matter, I've found that no matter how absurd I get, somebody will come along and take it at face value. I think I need to use more smilies in my posts. ;)

I don't know why folks would go to the trouble to move to Colorado just for the dope. We get the same stuff here in NY. My dealer says his suppliers also supply the dispensaries. Price at the consumer end is about the same, maybe even cheaper. I'm toking up on some "Headband" right now, but I also got a glass vial that says "Bubba Kush" on the nightstand. $50/1/8th.

My son in Brooklyn knows guys that deliver pharmaceutical stuff right to your door. I score some every time I visit him. Last time I was there he called for me and 15 minutes later the guy shows up with a case full of glass vials. Got some "Green Crack", which is real good for pain without knocking you out. I'm sure it's good for my glaucoma as well, even my ophthalmologist says so.

They're working on strains now that don't get you real high but still help with pain and nausea from chemo. If these strains would also work for glaucoma I could stop those nasty eye drops and just stick with the weed without having to be stoned all day.

Oil is whats up! My buddy makes is own oil and its way better than any other type of weed product in strength. Rick Simpsons oil is some of the best stuff you can get out of a dispensary though. Very good stuff.

Medical Marijuana is popping up all over.

Just a matter of time imo before it is a nationwide thing.

How can promoters get together with this new industry ?

The benefits and uses are very many.

It will be around for a long time !

Could be billiards best shot.

Your thoughts.

Just to be clear, we're not talking about medical marijuana, we're talking about legalized marijuana, right? Medical marijuana requires a prescription or some other type of medical approval.

Second, I'm not sure I understand how pool relates to this. Are we talking opening pot shops in pool halls (or vice-versa)? Advertising and sponsorship?

The Cannabis Cup?
The Sensimila City Classic?
The Cheech and Chong Challenge?
The Buddha Bud Billiards Tour?

True. And all bets are off if they make it legal to grow your own.

I had a friend visit me last week. This guy was the first person I knew to grow high quality herb here in the East. He no longer smokes himself, but his wife has a rare neurological disorder that makes her muscles tighten up until she can't stand the pain. She takes a vape hit when this happens and the pain just vanishes.

Anyway, my buddy and I were talking about the good old days, and I pointed to my garden and asked him how much bud he thought he could get out of that small (30' x 50') patch of soil. "Lots... real lots. Like maybe 100 pounds or more if managed properly."

So, when citizens can legally grow their own, who will pay a retail price of $50-100 an 1/8 oz when they can grow all they want for basically nothing but the cost of a few seeds?

Best bet for the pool industry would be to get behind the paraphernalia instead of the actual product. Players are already getting sponsored by the e-cig vendors, why not weed vaporizers, oil pipes, storage containers, clothing, etc? I for one would not be offended if a guy took a discrete vape hit or two at the table next to me, as long as it was legal. And just think of the increased food and drink business for the happy room owner. Munchies + cotton mouth = Ka-ching, Ka-ching for a savvy businessman.

I think you need to lay off the medical marijuana.

Pool doesn't need drugs, prescription or not.

Please don't tell me you think the answer to solving pools problems and improving its image is pot!! This will definitely drive many away from any public use of the sport of pool.

I love playing the game, and my girls play with me whenever I go to shoot. If pot became a mainstream support of pool, or something that was closely intertwined with the sport, I would strongly do whatever I could to keep them from getting close to the sport. Kids are the future of any sport. Why in the world would we want to make pool something that is less family friendly than it is already viewed?

Just think IF all the big shot doctors come to find out it actually does cure cancer.

Then IF they all want on board and pool is already there it could be a very good thing for the sport.

Like so many are saying, it does cure cancer. Here is just one of many.

That's a sad statement regarding our society.
